THE GRIND STARTS HERE

After a few weeks of conditioning, learning and putting in the work, we're ready to take the next step.

Tonight our players hit the field in full gear for the first time this preseason.

There's something different about football once the pads go on. The tempo lifts, the intensity rises and the real work begins.

Whether you're a returning Viking or looking to try American Football for the first time, there's never been a better time to get involved.

Champions are made in pre-season.

🏈 PRE-SEASON STARTS TONIGHT 🏈

The wait is over. Southern Vikings Football is back.

Tonight marks the beginning of our 2026 preseason as we prepare for another huge year of American Football in the south-east.

Whether you’re returning for another season or wanting to try the sport for the first time, now is the perfect time to get involved.

📅 Tonight, 27th May

U15 | 5pm - 7pm
U18 | 6pm - 8pm
Men | 7pm - 9pm

No experience needed. New players always welcome.

Bring your runners or cleats, drink bottle and be ready to work.

Pads and helmets begin mid June.

🏈 SOUTHERN VIKINGS AGM 🏈
Our Annual General Meeting is more than just a meeting, it’s a chance to help shape the future of the Southern Vikings.
As we continue to grow both on and off the field, we’re looking for passionate people to join our committee, volunteer team and wider Vikings community for the 2026 season.
Whether you’re a player, parent, supporter, sponsor or someone wanting to get involved in American Football locally, we encourage you to attend.
• ALL positions are open
• Volunteers are needed across all areas of the club
• Meet our community and hear our plans for the future
• Help continue building one of Victoria’s fastest growing American Football clubs

🏈 Vikings Representing Victoria 🏈

The Southern Vikings are incredibly proud to see our men selected to represent the Victorian Eagles Men’s State Team.

State selection is a huge honour and a reflection of the hard work, commitment and standards these players bring to the field every week. Seeing Vikings wearing the Victoria jersey is something our entire club community celebrates.

Congratulations to our Vikings representing the state:

Claire Lawrence – Team Manager / Academy Manager, Chaz Iloka, Daniel Roper, Hamish Winzar, Nathan Lowther, Brian Nicks, Lachlan Haynes(c), Harrison Lawrence

Victoria has already delivered strong performances with wins over ACT and NSW, and now all eyes turn to the head-to-head clash with Queensland on May 9.
