Southern Vikings are excited to welcome the Croydon Rangers to Carrum Downs for a joint training session and scrimmage!

📅 Thursday 24 September
⏰ 6:00pm – 9:00pm
📍 Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve

The Vikings and Rangers will hit the field together for a night of training, scrimmage and plenty of American football, followed by a BBQ

Whether you’re already part of the gridiron community, have been thinking about giving the sport a go, or are just curious about what American Football looks like here in the South, come down and check it out.

Players, families, supporters and newcomers are all welcome. 💜💛💚

A new season awaits our U15s as they prepare for another year with rican_football_vic, stepping into 2026 with plenty to look forward to and a refreshed identity taking shape. 👀🔥

Our U15 campaign gets underway October 10th at MacPherson Park, Melton, as we face the Crusaders.

Get down, bring the noise and get behind the next generation of Vikings as they represent the Purple & Gold in 2026. 🟣🟡

A new season is on the horizon for our U18s as we gear up for another year with , entering 2026 under a new coaching staff, with a refreshed identity to match.. 👀🔥

Our campaign kicks off October 3rd at Epsom Huntly Reserve, Bendigo, as we take on the Buccaneers.

Get down, make some noise from the sideline and back the boys as we chase a Vic Bowl for the Purple & Gold. 🟣🟡

The countdown is on.

The season is coming, and now is the time to get back on the field.

If you've played before and have been thinking about making a return, we'd love to see you back in Vikings colours. If you've never played American Football but have always wanted to give it a crack, this is where it starts.

No experience is needed. We have coaches and teammates ready to help you learn, improve and be part of a club that values hard work, commitment and community.

Training is every Wednesday at Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve.

Under 15s: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Under 18s: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Men's: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Every championship starts with the first training session.

Bring a mate, bring your determination, and come see what the Southern Vikings are all about.

PRE-SEASON STARTS NOW.

A new season. A clean slate. One goal.

Whether you've worn the Vikings jersey before, taken a season away, or you've never played a down of American Football in your life – now's the time to get involved.

We're looking for:
* Returning players ready to get back on the field.
* New players wanting to challenge themselves.
* Athletes from any sport looking for something different.
* Anyone who's got the commitment to be part of a team that works hard and has each other's backs.

No experience? No worries. We'll teach you everything you need to know.

This isn't just about football. It's about mateship, discipline, pushing yourself, and being part of something bigger.

THE GRIND STARTS HERE

After a few weeks of conditioning, learning and putting in the work, we're ready to take the next step.

Tonight our players hit the field in full gear for the first time this preseason.

There's something different about football once the pads go on. The tempo lifts, the intensity rises and the real work begins.

Whether you're a returning Viking or looking to try American Football for the first time, there's never been a better time to get involved.

The wait is over. Southern Vikings Football is back.

Tonight marks the beginning of our 2026 preseason as we prepare for another huge year of American Football in the south-east.

Whether you’re returning for another season or wanting to try the sport for the first time, now is the perfect time to get involved.

📅 Tonight, 27th May

U15 | 5pm - 7pm
U18 | 6pm - 8pm
Men | 7pm - 9pm

No experience needed. New players always welcome.

Bring your runners or cleats, drink bottle and be ready to work.

Pads and helmets begin mid June.

Our Annual General Meeting is more than just a meeting, it’s a chance to help shape the future of the Southern Vikings.
As we continue to grow both on and off the field, we’re looking for passionate people to join our committee, volunteer team and wider Vikings community for the 2026 season.
Whether you’re a player, parent, supporter, sponsor or someone wanting to get involved in American Football locally, we encourage you to attend.
