Donald Golf Bowls Club inc 3480 Donald Golf Bowls Club inc always welcomes new members for social and competition. The Golf course is open from April to September.

The Lawn Bowls season is usually operational September to April. Our club house is available for hire for functions.

Monday Funday golfers will be staying indoors thanks to some more liquid gold from the sky this morning. The mower and dedicated groundspeople might get a well earned rest this week due to the forecasted wet week.
Sharing some rationale as to why we can be frustrated and mentally fatigued when we are trying to improve our golf games- and apparently we play a better game “swing easy” when we are relaxed and free of tension 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Jo B Was in fine Nearest the Pin form taking home 3 out of the 4 with her shot on the 14th coming close to taking home the Donald Bakery $1000
Kerry R played great golf on her return from her OS trip and flight in with some international VIPs the night before. Kerry frequently chipping out of the rough onto scrapes
Nelia donated to the penalty pig thanks to a little bit of “swearing” - Kate donating thanks to a lost ball, Kerry W - out of bounds, 3 putt and a gold digging swish!!
Nelia and Kerry R were very accurate with their putters

We had 5 enthusiastic golfers on the fairways taking on the chance of the Donald Bakery $1000 hole in 1 today
After we had a little birthday celebration with Carmen we hit the fairways. Carmen was in great form again today and is looking forward to her birthday golf club upgrade. It was a beautiful morning spent in great company.

Maree C is debating the sale of her current sticks and buggy
Luke had to rescue Nelia and her golf cart with some fuel
Margie’s dam on the 3rd is getting bigger each week - ready to gobble up those golf balls
Margot had a “trees r green” Clothes Bin monthly medal winning round 👏

It was an honour to host the Kara Kara Ladies final day yesterday. The course played well and thanks to our caterers for a lovely lunch.
We were fortunate to be able to rotate a number of players through over the 3 weeks.
Well done to team Donald - Margot, Maree C, Carmen, Kate, Kerry W, Ev, Nelia, Jenny, Jo and Jo. We came close to bringing the flag home. 👏👍

The golf course is looking a picture thanks to welcoming rain and continued work by our grounds committee and supporters.
The mower has been busy on the fairways - 🙏 Robert R has joined the mowing roster
The Bunkers are back in play - thanks Des and Kerry
& the newly planted trees on the 2nd are growing nicely thanks to some Leishman TLC
We look forward to hosting the final day of Ladies Kara Kara Pennant tomorrow and seeing plenty of golfers enjoying our beautiful course
