Expressions of Interest

Murray-Darling Amateur Swimming Club are seeking a coach to support our Summer Swimming Season (October to March)

You may have experience teaching kids to swim to support our junior swimmers to finesse their skills
or be experienced in competition swimming techniques to support our senior swimmers reach their PBs.

Murray-Darling ASC will support the right candidates to obtain their Australian Swim Coach Licence under the new National Coaching Framework.

Candidates must have/ or be willing to obtain the following prior to starting;
- Working with Children Checks for NSW and Vic
- Availability to support after school training and Club Championship
- Ability to write training schedules to suit junior and senior swimmers
- Transportation to train swimmers at Dareton or Mildura

Expressions of Interest outlining relevant experience and availability (maximum 1 page) should be emailed to [email protected] by 29th August at 5pm

Great day at the Irymple Open today. Elliot, Innes, Owen, Andrew and Annie. Sorry I missed a group photo this morning before people needed to go.
Congratulations on Elliot, Andrew, Owen and Annie for obtaining a medal today.
Also a thank you to Red Cliffs and the Sydney swim club including our swimmers for a relay.

I visited the Dareton pool today. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🥽
The water was clean and the duck poo removed. 🦆🦆
I jumped in and it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. ☀️
Looking forward to seeing the club at the pool for the first day of training. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

I had a great two days of swimming at the 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒂.

Greeted by a wonderful people from all over Australia, Toowoomba, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The welcome pack included local produce, and the highlight was the photo frame seen below frame.

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

Well done to those locals swimming for the first time even if they can't dive or learned to swim as an adult. These people enrich my experience and motivate me to come back next time.

📢 𝑷𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒔: The Dareton and Wentworth pools' opening has been delayed from 28th October to 4th November 2024. We appreciate your understanding! 🙏

Murray Darling at the Dareton/ Coomealla centennial March this morning. As a club we were first registered with NSW swimming in 1957. The club was formed earlier and there are records going back to the early fifties. Well done to all past members and swimmers from the last 70 years.

🥇🥇What a great day at Club Championships. 🥇🥇

🏊‍♀️The team voted which event they wanted the coach to swim.
⭐️ 4x2 lap IM as they wanted to see if the coach could swim all strokes.⭐️

The cheering was amazing even with my head under the water🤩.
I felt lifted by their encouragement. Their energy propelled me all they way to the finish line. 🏆
