WINTER PENNANT IS HERE!

This Sunday marks the start of the 2026 Winter Pennant season, with Coomealla proudly represented in every division across the competition.

One Club. Every Division.

For the next six weeks, our players will wear the navy and white with pride as they represent our club across the district. Whether you're a seasoned pennant player or making your debut, every player has earned the opportunity to represent Coomealla Golf Club.

The draws are attached, so be sure to check where your team is playing.

If you're not playing this week, we encourage all members and supporters to get out and support our players. Pennant is one of the great traditions of country golf and there's nothing better than seeing the Coomealla colours well represented both on and off the course.

A huge thank you in advance to the pro shop staff, greens keeping teams and the many volunteers who will be helping to prepare courses, welcome visiting teams and keep pennant golf running smoothly throughout the season. Your contribution is a vital part of what makes our club so special.

All the very best to all Coomealla teams as they proudly represent Coomealla Golf Club throughout the 2026 Winter Pennant season.

Wear the colours with pride. Support your club. Bring home the flag.

💙 Support a Cause That Matters 💙

One of our own took part in the MND Ice Bucket Challenge, helping raise awareness and vital funds for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

As a club, we're proud to get behind this important cause and encourage our members, families, and friends to show their support if they're able.

Every donation, big or small, helps fund research, support services, and hope for those living with MND and their loved ones.

If you'd like to contribute, please make sure to have a sneaky beer, wine or spulge on that driver you have had your eye on at the 19th Hole tomorrow.

Thank you for supporting such a worthy cause and showing the community spirit that makes our club special. 💙⛳

Make a Sunday of It at Coomealla

Coomealla Golf Club is creating a welcoming and family-friendly Sunday atmosphere, with Term 3 programs designed to introduce golfers of all ages to the game.

Whether it's the kids joining our Riot Squad Junior Golf Program, Mum participating in our Women's Get Into Golf Clinics, or Dad taking part in our Men's Come & Try Golf Sessions, there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved.

Under the guidance of PGA Professional Tim Walker, our programs focus on developing skills, building confidence and creating a positive club environment where participants can learn, connect and enjoy the game of golf.

What makes Sundays at Coomealla special is that families can enjoy the experience together. While participants are learning the game, families are spending quality time outdoors, meeting new people and becoming part of a welcoming club community.

Golf is one of the few sports that can be enjoyed by all generations, and we are proud to provide opportunities for families to learn, play and belong together.

If you are interested in getting involved this Term 3, we encourage you to follow the registration link below and register for the clinic or program that best suits you or your family.

We're proud to share that Coomealla Golf Club has been featured by Golf Australia for our Riot Squad junior golf program.

The article highlights the club's commitment to creating an engaging and welcoming environment where young golfers can develop their skills, build friendships and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

We would particularly like to acknowledge PGA Professional Tim Walker, Cath Eddie and Tim Earl for their leadership and contribution to the continued growth of junior golf at Coomealla.

Sunday Mornings Swinging Along at Coomealla!

Things have been rolling along beautifully during the first half of Term 2 at Coomealla Golf Club, with our Junior and Women’s Golf Clinics bringing plenty of new faces, lots of laughs, and some great improvement each Sunday morning around the club.

This term, we’ve welcomed 8 juniors and 12 women into the programs, which has been fantastic to see and a really positive sign for the future of golf at Coomealla.

Led by PGA Professional Tim Walker Next Step Golf, alongside Community Instructor Catherine Eddie and the Junior and Women's Development crew, the clinics continue to offer a relaxed and welcoming place for people to learn the game, build confidence, and simply enjoy being around the club.

Across the first half of the term, participants have been working on swing basics, putting, chipping, and a few on-course skills, while also having some fun with putting comps, target games, and friendly challenges along the way.

Our juniors have been improving every week, not just with their golf, but also with their confidence and friendships around the club. It’s been great seeing some of the kids hanging around the practice areas after sessions and really starting to catch the golf bug.

The Women’s Clinic has also been a ripper, with a fantastic group of ladies enjoying the social side of golf while learning new skills in a fun and supportive environment. From complete beginners to ladies getting back into the game, the vibe each Sunday morning has been relaxed, welcoming, and full of encouragement.

One of the best things about the clinics has been the atmosphere around the club. Sunday mornings have quickly turned into a great little social catch-up, with families, volunteers, members, and participants all helping create a friendly and easy-going environment.

“It’s been fantastic seeing so many new faces around the club enjoying themselves, celebrating each other's success and getting involved each week,” said Tim Walker.

One of the best things about the clinics has been the atmosphere around the club. Sunday mornings are quickly becoming a great family day out at Coomealla, with a clinic for everyone in the family to come and enjoy — whether it’s the kids learning the game, Mum getting involved in the women’s sessions, or Dad coming along for a hit and a catch-up around the clubhouse.

Planning is already underway for our Term 3 programs, including the return of the Junior and Women’s Clinics, along with the launch of the club’s new men’s program — Mate’s Sunday Swing, Sip & Socialise.

The new men’s program is all about giving blokes a relaxed way to give golf a crack, learn a few basics, meet some mates, and enjoy the social side of the club without any pressure.

Registrations are now open for all three Term 3 programs, with limited spots available.
