Paint Project Pony

Meet Milo 💚 14.1hh, 7-year-old Paint Pony Gelding —a lovely, striking, sturdy guy who’s coming back into work after a break. He’s goes beautifully under saddle, with a soft mouth and a lovely round frame—he feels fantastic to ride! He is still quite green but is proving to be a quick learner. He’s just started jumping and shows real talent and enthusiasm. He would equally make a competitive dressage pony with beautiful movement, a snaffle mouth and round frame.

Although he is still a pony he would happily suit both adults and teenagers alike. He is lovely solid type as he likely has Clydie or a heavier breed in him (although breeding is unknown).

He will make the perfect project pony for an experienced teen or adult wanting to bring him along. With more education, he’ll be a very competitive performance pony.

Barefoot with great feet, very good doer, easy to catch, good floater.

He can occasionally be “looky” or a little stubborn, but with more exposure, experience and exercise he is improving every day.

When it comes to jumping, a quality canter can make all the difference.

If you canter into, through, and out of your turns with balance and rhythm, you’ll give yourself the best chance of making the distance work. A good canter helps cover a distance even when your approach isn’t absolutely perfect.

Focus on creating a consistent, forward canter first—the fences will become much easier to ride from there. 🐴✨
