Last call for anyone wanting to start/resume their rowing career, in St George this weekend.

The Cunnamulla 8 will be hitting our straps after this, leading up to the Outback Regatta in Barcaldine & Longreach in October. Now is the time to get involved!

The Australian Outback Rowing Regatta is a two day festival of VIIIs racing - The Outback Sprints at Barcaldine and the Head of the Outback at Longreach.

This is something we’re really excited about.

Last year, a group of us from Cunnamulla took a leap of faith and put a motley crew together for the Outback Regatta.

We had the best time and are lining up for 2025. We’d love some of our surrounding towns in western QLD to have a crack and meet us at the starting line!

🌊🌊🌊 Our Quad is tucked up underneath the Cunnamulla Golf Clubhouse high on the bank of the flooded Warrego, escaping the water even at the massive height of 9.65m. Kudos to whoever chose to build in this spot and thanks to John Woodcroft for the drone shot. With all the devastation in the South West and Channel Country currently, rowing is the last thing on our mind as people around us have literally lost everything and are still battling high waters coming from upstream. Looking forward to getting back into it when a sense of normalcy returns. 🩵
