Matt and I recently started working together online from opposite sides of the world, using Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) to improve his breathing mechanics, core integration, and running efficiency.
In our first session, we focused on diaphragmatic/IAP (Intra Abdominal Pressure) breathing, rib-to-pelvis stacking, and introducing the DNS Bear pattern to better link hips, trunk, and breath under load.
In the days following, Matt ran 15km feeling lighter, faster, and more efficient with no extra effort.
Shortly after, he lined up for his first 50km trail race in three years, finishing:
• 4th in his age group
• 15th overall
A great example of how improving breathing and stability can carry over directly into real-world endurance performance.
All of our work together has been done online.
If you’re a runner, surfer, or endurance athlete looking to improve performance or longevity, in person and online DNS sessions are available.
