Well I’m proud to announce our first race meeting will be held on the WA day long weekend in 2026, May the 31st.

The format will be speedcars, sprintcars, pro mods and our good friends at the WA lawn mower racing association speedway. Mowers will run during the day time and then after the speedway racing concludes, the burn out comp will start.

Now I know this is a big day, but I want to give everyone a bit of everything that the venue can do! There will be at least 3 practice days between now and the opening, any driver speedway or burn out cars who wish to attend are welcome, these practice days are free for any drivers and their cars, spectators are also welcome for a small charge.

I will announce practice dates shortly, as always any inquiries please contact myself Rob Archibald president Corrigin motor sports association ph0423204314

Hello everyone, the track has been inspected by the West Australian speedway commission and has been passed, the commission was very impressed.
As the president of this club I have to say I have not been impressed with some of the false reports that I have heard going around, there are people out there who tried to resurrect this old speedway before we took over the job, they had no idea what they were doing and totally butchered the job, after eight and a half years there was still no fence, no wall, no events of any kind had been held and the place was left looking like a s**t hole!!

Myself and Des Alfirevich had to deal with a very unhappy shire and town!!
It was not pleasant!!

Now let me be very clear on this. People are saying that the track has only been licensed for tin tops and not open wheel cars.
That’s BU****IT!!
The track has been licensed for all divisions except for 410 sprintcars at our request is that clear?

The committee is looking at dates for the grand opening and I think April or early May look promising. We are looking at different divisions at the moment but two that are locked in will be speedcars and sprintcars. People should be happy that the state has a new race track and not be bitter because they were unable to get the job done.

If anyone needs or wants any information on the track then please call me don’t listen to false rumours, thank you and hope to see you all there.

As you can all see, the mesh is going on the catch fence at the moment thanks to the Ray family.
Brett Schofield is setting up all the electrics for the stop and go lights, things are moving along very nicely.
We will be doing track testing soon and then Western Australia will have a brand new speedway track.

We had a great day at Rod Slater Raceway Corrigin on the weekend with the team going hard at it.
The usual team members were there hard at it, along with new club members Chris and Jessica Ray who were putting up the catch fence and pit gates, welcome aboard you two 👍🏼.
Would like to say a big thank you to Corrigin Engineering for all their help supplying the fence brackets for the catch fence.
Well, we have a big burnout and lawn mower racing day planned on the 18th of May, then we will have an open day where people can come and have a look at the new venue, then we will announce the date for our grand opening and first speedway meeting hope to see you all there, I can’t wait. 🏁

I’ve had a lot of enquires about joining our club recently from past and new members. Look it’s simple, you need to be nominated by a member and then the committee will discuss and vote on that person becoming a member.
The process is like most clubs, if a person is not a member they can still race at our track but they will not receive all the benefits that club members receive.
