Coogee Kyokushin Karate Dojo Classes Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Separate classes for children, teens, adults and beginners.

Kyokushin is a stand up, full contact style of karate (kids non contact). Kyokushin training consists of three main elements: kihon (basics), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring). We are a close knit community consisting of Mums, Dads, Kids and Fighters. We cater for all levels from beginners to Black Belts, and will work with you at your pace to ensure you maximise your experience. It doesn't matt

Last month we had the NSW Autumn Training Camp and senior grading. A massive showing from Coogee with just over 40 participants from our dojo. There were many excellent sessions from a variety of highly skilled and experienced instructors from across our organisation, as well as some excellent mindset and mobility sessions. All Coogee candidates in the senior grading passed. Special mention to Senpai Tom grading to Nidan after over 20 years of committment to training since attaining Shodan in 2004. We also welcomed Senpai Roger, Senpai Ava, Senpai Lulu and Senpai Arianna to the Yundasha, who all successfully graded to Shodan after dedicating nearly a decade to their training. We continue to be amazed by the community and camaraderie at Coogee Dojo. Your unwavering committment and support for each other is what makes Coogee Dojo. Osu

Congratulations to Senpai Tadeo winning the Victorian Open Lightweight Full-contact championships today! Alongside training partner and squad member Senpai Nick from Maroubra dojo, who won the Open Middleweight title! Congratulations to our latest addition to the Yudansha, Senpai Ollie. After 8 years of dedicated training, Senpai graded for his shodan at the recent NSW Camp. With focus, determination and commitment the whole way through his journey, we have watched Senpai grow into a strong, technical and tenacious young karateka. Awesome work from everyone at the MKA National Championships last weekend! Regardless of results everyone continues to develop in technique, but also in heart and spirit. We had students stepping onto the mat for the first time, with a few having their first full-contact bouts. Lots of placings across non-contact, padded-contact, and full-contact divisions. Thank you to all our volunteers and Senpai who helped make the day possible.

Congratulations to Senpai Reg, who was presented his official Nidan belt at the tournament on the weekend.
Senpai Reg has been a pillar of Coogee Dojo since the beginning, and has been a black belt for over 20 years - continuously and steadfastly training and mentoring the students of Coogee Dojo, without want of accolade. A grading which was long past due, very much earned years prior, and will remain an inspiration for many.
