Southern Street Stock Series 25/26

With the last couple events being rained out it unfortunately meant quite a short season for Hall Motorsport. Over the weekend we attended the Southern Street Stock Series presentation night where we were awarded 1st place for the 25/26 series; to say this means a lot to us is an understatement, it has been a huge effort from a lot of people to make this possible. To think where we started from 4 years ago, never having done a lap in a speedway car, to now winning the series has been a huge effort. There are so many people to thank, firstly, Maria Lourdes Doblado who was there for every for success and disappointment, as well as for every tyre change and spanner application of the 4 years and (approx.) 85,000km travelled, thanks also to Paul Keane and Belinda Clements (Woodcroft Car Care) for your support and being with us for most events, Nick and Sabrina from Umoona Opal Mine & Museum for the 4 years of support, and Danni and Fonz from Opal City Services who recently came on board, also to Dad who did Dad things in the background.

We, and every competitor and fan owe a great deal to Leah Parsons and Richard Parsons who have put so much into organising the series - thank you.

The car has been “placed with a good family home” and we wish them the best of luck with it in the future.

We are stepping away from Speedway (which we love)to re-group; with travel being a significant factor in the decision.

Thank you to the competitors, crew and officials who helped over the years whether is was help repairing the car or just advice, it has all been greatly appreciated.

This weekend we have made the trip to Blue Ribbon Raceway at Horsham for the Victorian Street Stock title. Racing is due to start at 2pm (1:30 SA) and will be live on Clay Per View. For this event it is just Patrick and Maria (and the Frenchies) so a big thank you to Blomeley Racing for helping out in the pits.

Night one of the Australian Street Stock Title didn’t go to plan for us, really struggling with the car all night. Thanks to Woodcroft Car Care for letting us use their workshop last night but unfortunately while looking over the car we found a broken rear cradle, unfortunately this is one of the few parts we don’t carry so have had to withdraw. Thank you to everyone who makes it possible.

Here at Murray Bridge Speedway for the Australian Street Stock title. We have been through scrutineering with no problems, and have practice this afternoon. Friday will see heat races with one more heat Saturday and then the finals. Thank you to everyone that makes this possible.

Attended Portland Southern 500 Speedway last weekend unfortunately the Friday event was rained out. A big effort by the club saw Saturday night start well with rain due towards the end of the night.

Heat 1 we started out of 4th and after running 2nd for most of the race the leader made a small mistake allowing us to take the win.

Heat 2 we started from the rear but unfortunately blew a left rear tyre off.

Heat 3 we were off the front row from second and went on to win also scoring the fastest lap time of the night.

Unfortunately the rain came in early meaning the final, where we had qualified 4th, did not run. Overall, a pleasing night for the team.
Big thank you to Southern Street Stock series and to Southern 500 speedway for persevering with the event in such trying conditions.
