🎱 Premier 9-Ball – Round 4 Recap 🎱

Round 4 of the Premier 9-Ball Series delivered another entertaining day of action, with close matches, breakout performances and a strong mix of established names and emerging challengers making deep runs through the bracket.

When play wrapped up, it was Nasa Munkhansan who claimed the Round 4 title, defeating Jamie Walker 4–6 in the final under the handicap format. Racing to just 4 against Jamie’s race to 8, Nasa produced a composed performance throughout the day and handled the pressure superbly in the championship match.

Jamie Walker was outstanding across the top half of the draw, overcoming Tony Do, Richard Brus and Barry Mavros to earn his place in the final. Barry himself impressed earlier in the event with a strong win over Jayden Thompson.

One of the standout stories of the tournament was Alfie Compuesto, competing in his first Premier 9-Ball event. Alfie produced an excellent run through a difficult section of the draw, defeating Dinesh Sookgreep and Rachel Lewis before eventually falling in the semi-finals. It was a terrific debut performance and one that certainly turned heads.

Eric Ang also enjoyed a strong run to the semi-finals, defeating Patrick Badman and Andrew Samarjia along the way. Despite Andrew racing to 7 against Eric’s race to 4, the pair produced one of the tightest matches of the day, with Eric edging through in a hard-fought contest.

The Plate Event also produced a fantastic result, with Patrick Badman (469 Fargo) defeating Tony Do (653 Fargo) in the final to claim the Plate title — another example of the handicap format creating opportunities for players to challenge higher-rated opposition.

With four rounds now complete, the race for Grand Final qualification is beginning to heat up. To qualify for the Premier 9-Ball Grand Final — featuring a $15,000 prize pool — players must finish inside the Top 16 point earners while also competing in at least 6 qualifying rounds.

With only 6 rounds remaining and Round 5 now approaching, the window is beginning to close for players yet to enter the series. Any player who has not competed yet will now need to play the remaining 6 rounds to remain eligible for Grand Final qualification.

🎱 Premier 9-Ball – Round 3 Recap 🎱

Round 3 of the Premier 9-Ball Series delivered another quality day of action, with a strong field, big performances, and plenty of standout moments across the bracket.

When the dust settled, it was Barry Mavros who captured the Round 3 title, defeating Rafael Tan 6–1 in the final. Barry produced a composed and clinical performance throughout the day, navigating a tough bottom half of the draw before finishing strongly in the championship match.

Rafael Tan was again a major force, powering through the top half of the bracket with commanding victories over Tristan Lau, Wesley Pritchard, Richard Brus and Colin Peak to earn another finals appearance.

Semi-Finalists were Tristan Lau and Jing Liu, both putting together impressive runs before falling one step short of the decider.

One of the stories of the day was Adam Wowk (398 Fargo), who produced multiple upset wins and a terrific deep run against higher-rated opposition, showing once again that this format gives everyone a chance to shine.

Premier 9-Ball Series – Round 2 Recap

Round 2 of the Premier 9-Ball Series delivered a massive jump in participation, with 45 players hitting the tables, a huge rise from the 14 competitors in Round 1. The increased numbers were matched by an equally high standard of play throughout the day.

The standout story belonged to Rachel Lewis, who produced an incredible run to reach the final. Entering as one of the lower-graded players, Rachel rose to the occasion in style, taking down multiple higher-rated opponents along the way. Her run to the decider was nothing short of outstanding and one of the highlights of the event.

Waiting in the final was Ernesto Jay Carasig, who had been in dominant form through the knockout stages. Ernesto capped off a strong campaign by overcoming Rachel in the final to claim the Round 2 title.

The quarter-finals showcased a stacked field:
• Jimboy Platero def. Dinesh Sookgree
• Ernesto Jay Carasig def. Nicholas Koster
• Rachel Lewis def. Shaun Matthews
• Rafael Tan def. Tony Brooks

In the semi-finals, Ernesto continued his dominant run, defeating Jimboy, while Rachel delivered another composed performance to overcome Rafael and secure her place in the final.

Rachel’s performance perfectly highlights what this format is all about, opportunity. On any given day, any player can rise, challenge the field, and produce something special.

Each round also features random giveaways, giving every participant a chance to walk away a winner.
🎁 The Kamui pack winner for Round 2 was Minh Duong, taking home Kamui ROKU Chalk and a NEW Kamui Symmetry Glove.
🎟️ We also introduced a new giveaway. A free entry into Round 3, with Jing Liu selected as the winner.

Players who compete in a minimum of 6 rounds and finish inside the Top 16 will qualify for the Grand Final, where the winner will take home a guaranteed $5,000.
