Unloaded ready to go but it ended up being a early night. Went out in the first heat and the car wouldn’t rev which turned out to be a throttle cable issue but mid heat the steering felt weird and the car wouldn’t turn, so I backed off and finished the heat. Back in the pits the problem turned out to be a failed steering quickener putting a end to our night.

Done some maintenance on trailer and fitted toolbox on A frame. Next race at Daylesford has been canceled so next race is 19/2 at swanhill. Disappointing to not race at Daylesford but we might race there later in the season.

First race meeting is 28/12/21. I drove the car for the first time the night before this meeting. We went into the meeting under prepared and with low expectations. Starting heats from rear of field.
1st heat Got out for the first heat but the car kept cutting out and had to pull infield. DNF.
2nd Heat Replaced coil and spark plug which seemed to fix problem. The ran well and came home 3rd.
3rd Heat Car ran and drove well, finished 1st.
Final Started 3rd car and finished 1st.
Over the moon with these results. I was hoped the car would be competitive and reliable but didn’t expect those results first night out. Would like to thank the other drivers and crew and the Swan hill speedway.

March 2019 “I fought the wall and the wall won”
Steering broke going into turn 3 at Swan hill and went straight into the fence. Chassis is destroyed, bottom rails bent down, cage pushed back, upright tore out of bottom rail as well as all the front damage. Driver was fine but car is finished.
