Titans - this was something I shared on my personal socials but I want to take a minute and share it with you all 💚💙
Finals Footy really is a rollercoaster of emotions 🎢
Three teams. Two premiers. One runner up. Breathtaking games in every sense 🏆
From a 6am start to medals, trophies, stages, safety, signage, logistics and a second venue running seven games like clockwork, Sunday was massive. But it was also a reminder of something bigger.
Week after week I’ve watched the same group of incredible humans give hours upon hours to this club. Everyday people with jobs, families, commitments - yet they step up. Not for one child, but for ALL 419 Titans.
On the surface you see a club running. Behind it sits full books, accounting, purchasing, balancing budgets. Behind it sits approximately 838 parents with questions, concerns and conversations that take time, patience and care. Behind it sits every fixture change, every training session, every policy, every plan - all shaped by hours of work from people who simply choose to give.
This team has taken on complaints, challenges and tough moments as if they were their own. They’ve built hard exteriors because opinions are loud, but hands raised to help are fewer. I’m sure some people think we just make random decisions but I see the heart, care, time and thought in every admin process. Heartbreak - sometimes debilitating heartbreak. The sacrifice, sleep lost, times away from family - And still, they show up.
But days like last Sunday make it worth it. Watching kids elevate, unite, feel pride they earned - that’s the payoff. That’s why we do it. Not for recognition. Not for you or me. For THEM.
My heart broke for our under 12 Green who fought hard and deserved their grand final spot 💚
My heart stopped for under 14 Blue - I felt that win in my soul 💙
Transparently my heart has a soft spot for u12 Blue - an organic group of kids who have grown not just as footballers but as humans. Good humans. Deserving humans 💙
All coaches never give themselves enough credit, but they have shaped these kids’ lives on and off the field. That’s impact. That’s legacy.
Are we lucky? No. We earned it.
