With great sadness, we share the passing of Mrs. Robin Fitzpatrick (née Newton), who passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, 15 August 2026. Our thoughts are with her loved ones, and we ask that you keep them close in your hearts during this tender time.

The Traralgon Hockey Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Fitzpatrick after a short illness. Robin has been our club member, teammate, and treasured friend for over 25 years. She was part of our record-breaking Traralgon team to win 13 Latrobe Valley Hockey Association Grand Finals in a row from 2003, collecting a Player of the Final along the way.

Robin represented Latrobe Valley in Country Week, including a win in B1 in 2016. She also played in Vic League, representing Gippsland Strikers and Latrobe Valley Hockey Association.

Robin represented Victoria in Masters Hockey in 2018 and 2019.

Being a left-hander made playing hockey a challenge for Robin. With sheer will and determination, she mastered the left midfield position, perfecting the run down the side line will full control of the ball with only her left hand on the stick.

Our thoughts and sympathy go to Robin's husband Ross and children, James, Angela and Sophie. James played with us as a junior, and Sophie is in our current Women's team.

Hi members, LVHA are holding another fundraising barbecue on Saturday 15th of November. We will need three to four volunteers for the 10am-12pm time slot. Please let us know if you can help out.
