The opening round of the 2026 Penrith 5aside Challenge gets underway next Thursday night, with our Carlo Koalas taking on the Austral Eagles.
We’re excited to announce our first team for the event and wish all our players the very best as they get their campaign underway! 🐨💪

🏆 2026 Carlingford Women’s Major Singles Final 🏆
Congratulations to Maelene Reynolds, who has been crowned the 2026 Carlingford Women’s Major Singles Champion after defeating Sandii Charleston 25–10 in today’s final.
While the scoreline may not reflect the quality of the match, Sandii played some fantastic bowls throughout and certainly made Maelene work hard for the victory.
In the end, it was Maelene’s consistency and deadly conversion shots that proved the difference, allowing her to take control of the match and secure the title.
👏 Congratulations Maelene on a fantastic performance!
Maelene will now represent Carlingford Women’s Bowling Club at the 2026 Bowls NSW State Champion of Champion Singles, to be held in December.
We wish her all the very best and look forward to seeing her represent Carlo on the state stage!

🏆 2026 Carlingford Women’s Major Singles – Final 🏆
The 2026 Carlingford Women’s Major Singles Final will be played this afternoon at 2.30pm, with Maelene Reynolds taking on Sandii Charleston in what promises to be a fantastic final.
The winner will go on to represent Carlo at the 2026 Bowls NSW Champion of Champion Singles later this year.
It should be a great battle between two quality players, so if you’re in the area, pop down to the club and show your support for the ladies!

🏆 2026 Carlingford Women’s Major Singles – Finalists Set!
Our finalists are set after today’s Semi Finals were played under clear skies at Carlo. ☀️
Semi Final 1:
Sandii Charleston was the first player through to the Final with a strong 25–11 victory over Kathy Uren.
Semi Final 2:
Maelene Reynolds and Cathy Dickins had a fantastic battle, with the game coming down to 24–24 before Maelene held her nerve to get over the line 25–24.
👏 Congratulations to Sandii and Maelene!
