And this a great explanation of why a barbell squat is the superior exercise for overall funtional training. I'm not always good at saying how it or why but basically if it's all on you the only way to get stronger is by doing a full compound movement like a squat and deadlifts.

So important even in winter to keep yourself hydrated!! Well hydrated means easier to keep yourself on track and it will more than likely reduce your chances of going of track with your nutrition.
