What a wonderful weekend on 16-17 May at the Whitsunday Equestrian Group T-Shirt Dressage & SJ! 🌟
So many firsts, goals achieved and challenges overcome. At the end of the day, it’s not just about ribbons or percentages, it’s about getting out there, having a go and building confidence. I’m incredibly proud of everyone and the progress each combination showed today!
I rode Chilli in the Prep tests, coming away with two scores over 65%, which I was really happy with 🐴 I also took her out for a round of jumping where she was honest, willing and lots of fun.
Lynette rode her OTT Natalie in their very first competition together, which was such a huge milestone. Lynette rode with so much patience and calmness, giving Natalie the confidence she needed to have a really positive first outing.
Renee and her big boy Jimmy tackled the Prep tests and came away with some fantastic results, including a 3rd and 4th placing. Their second test in particular was calm, flowing and accurately ridden. Such lovely improvement to see!
Ella rode her young OTT Ox, who found the environment very exciting and distracting, but Ella rode beautifully and produced some really lovely work throughout the day. A great first competition experience and an exciting combination for the future.
Tolita and Rusty made their return to the competition arena after quite a few years away, stepping out into the Novice tests with some really lovely work. Their trot work was definitely a highlight, and I absolutely love watching and coaching this combination.
Cath and her OTT Pemby have built so much confidence together and produced some lovely calm work in the dressage arena today. It’s been so rewarding watching this partnership grow.
Aria competed Boots in her very first showjumping competition and put together some lovely rounds to come away with a 1st and 2nd place! Such a fantastic effort and great riding from this combination 🏅
