We are excited to welcome everyone back and kick off the year with our first classes starting tonight. We cannot wait to see all our students, families, and instructors back on the mats and ready for a great year ahead.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW BLACK BELTS

Congratulations to Michael Perin, Daniel Perin, Runi Gomes and Gokul Shankar on achieving their black belts.

This was our final grading for the year and a great way to finish. Over 280 students graded across the weekend and it was fantastic to see the effort and commitment on display from everyone.

Well done to all who graded and especially to our new black belts.

GRADING FORMS DUE THIS WEEK

Just a reminder that Grading Forms are due this week. The last day we will be accepting Grading Forms is this Sunday the 7th, so please make sure yours are completed and submitted before then.

If you are unsure about anything or need help with your form, please let your instructor know and they will guide you through it.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES

All Zanshin Martial Arts centres across Canberra and New South Wales are now open and operating as normal. The recent school closures have been lifted and our dojos are fully back to regular classes.

There is no longer any need for daily updates. Please attend your usual class times and locations as all junior and senior sessions will run as scheduled.

Also, please remember to pick up your grading forms from your instructor if you have not already done so. Grading is only three weeks away, so make sure you are prepared.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding over the last week. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you back in training.

CENTRES CLOSED BUT RUNNING OUTDOOR TRAINING

• Coombs
– School is closed but an outdoor training session will run
– Juniors: 6.30 pm
– Seniors: 7.30 pm
– Please follow the instructions given by the instructor when you arrive

• Taylor – Margaret Hendry School
– School is closed but we are running an outdoor session behind the school
– Juniors: 6.30 pm
– Seniors: 7.30 pm
– Go to the main school car park and meet at the cricket nets behind the school

• Amaroo – Amaroo School
– School is closed but we are running an outdoor training session
– Juniors: 6.30 pm (junior class only)
– Entrance to the Amaroo District Playing Fields is on Horse Park Drive
– Parking is in the Amaroo District Playing Fields car park

OUTDOOR TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Students may wear their uniform with joggers

CENTRES OPEN TODAY

EVATT – St Monica’s Primary School
• Juniors: 6.30 pm
• Seniors: 7.30 pm

CONDER – St Clare of Assisi
• Juniors: 6.30 pm
• Seniors: 7.30 pm

GOOGONG – Googong Public School
• Juniors: 6.45 pm
• Seniors: 7.30 pm

All of the above centres are running as normal indoors.

CENTRES CLOSED TODAY (BUT RUNNING OUTDOOR TRAINING)
NGUNNAWAL – OUTDOOR TRAINING SESSION

Ngunnawal Primary School is still closed, however we are running an outdoor training session on the oval next to the school so students do not miss their class.

This session will be run by Hanshi Drew, and he always makes outdoor training fun, exciting and full of energy.
This is definitely a class not to miss.

Location: Ngunnawal Oval (directly next to Ngunnawal Primary School)

Training will be held on the oval behind Margaret Hendry School.
