Taught and Bowled is offering a three-day clinic during the April school holidays.

The clinic runs from Tuesday April 14 until Thursday April 16 at Cruickshank Reserve, Phillis Street, Maylands. Sessions run from 9:00-10:30am each day for Netta, Primary and Sub Junior age groups.

Players receive 3 x 90-minute sessions. Day 1 covers a wide variety of skills, Day 2 focuses on the goal circle and Day 3 is our Match Day.

Program Outline:
Day 1 – Core skills: Footwork, passing, leading, defending

Day 2 - Goal Circle skills: Goal shooting technique, circle rotation/defending, flick back to feeder, the split, heel pivot, rebound position

Day 3 - Match play, game scenarios, competitive activities

Woolworths Cricket Blast will be on again in Term 1!

Taught and Bowled runs several Cricket Blast centres on Saturday and Sunday mornings, catering for children in Reception and Year 1.

The program is the perfect first step into cricket! Children learn skills and play games, plus receive their own cricket kit with bat, ball, shirt and hat.

Taught and Bowled will be running a training program for aspiring 7-8 year old cricketers during Term 1.

The program is ideal for a young cricketer who is looking to get started with school or club cricket soon. If your child would like some extra skill development while they are beginning their cricket journey, then this program is perfect for them.

Sessions run weekly on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:15pm during Term 1. Full details here:

Unfortunately the hot weather forecast later this week means that we will need to postpone our netball clinic. Our sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week have had to be cancelled, in line with Netball SA's extreme weather policy.

Rescheduled Clinic Options

We will be offering two alternative dates for our netball clinic in the new year.

Option 1

Monday January 5, Tuesday January 6 and Wednesday January 7

All age groups 8:30-10:00am (Netta, Primary and Sub Junior)

or Option 2

Monday January 12, Tuesday January 13 and Wednesday January 14

Taught and Bowled has cricket clinics coming up in the summer holidays!

There are two clinics available:
Mon Dec 15 to Wed Dec 17
Mon Jan 19 to Wed Jan 21

Each clinic runs over three mornings and includes fielding games, skill development, net sessions and matches. The clinics are ideal for 7-11 years olds who are playing Cricket Blast, School or Club cricket.

The clinic runs for three mornings, from Wednesday December 17 to Friday December 19 and is open to Netta, Primary and Sub Junior players. The venue is Cruickshank Reserve, Maylands.

Day 1 will focus on core skills, Day 2 will revolve around the goal circle and Day 3 involves Match Play.

Cricket Blast is an entry-level program for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Players learn the skills of the game and are introduced to playing matches. Plus they get a bunch of cool stuff!

SUMMER NETBALL ACADEMY

Taught and Bowled will be offering aspiring netballers aged 9-13 years the chance to participate in our Summer Netball Academy during the school holidays.

The program offers netballers of all abilities the opportunity to participate in an academy program where they will be taught a variety of netball-specific skills in a 'high performance-style' environment.

The program runs through December-January, leading into club winter netball trials.

Areas covered include:
Technical skill development, including area/positional specific coaching
Tactical skill development
Match play and video analysis
Netball specific testing
Take home program

Participants will be placed in small squads who will then work with accredited and experienced coaches for the duration of the program. The program has been developed using the Netball Australia Skills Development Framework and will focus on the six skill areas as identified by Netball Australia - Movement Skills, Ball Skills, Attacking Skills, Defending Skills, Shooting Skills and Strategies.
