Currently our walking group meets every Friday 10AM at Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club. We meet at the car park, then walk through the Recreation Centre ovals and around the Edgeworth Miniature Steam Trains area. We enjoy the scenery, talk and exercise with a healthy amount of sunshine and shade; bring an umbrella for more shade!
Afterwards, we sit for a coffee and/or brunch at a local cafe. Children, dogs, prams and all are welcome on the walk - and at the café.

Thanks to our TGIF Reservoir Walk members who participated in our Heart Week event last Friday. Great information from Hunter Heart Safe and lifesaving skills we now know how - and when - to apply.

I hope to see you at our Heart Foundation Heart Week event at Harrigan’s today. The weather is wet and, as always, we will meet at 10am for our walk around the reservoir behind the tavern. If it’s raining too hard we’ll head to the verandah for a hot drink and then on to the presentations.

Join us for a Free Heart Week Event in Cameron Park! 💓🚶‍♂️

Heart Foundation Walking have teamed up with Lake Macquarie Council to host a special community event at Harrigan’s this Friday, 9 May, at Cameron Park, and you’re invited!

The morning will feature a Heart Week walk, free morning tea, and a CPR/AED demo from Hunter Heart Safe — a great chance to get active, learn lifesaving skills, and connect with others.

If this sounds like something you or your loved ones would enjoy, we’d love for you to come along — and please help us spread the word!

Celebrate Heart Week (May 5-11) with your local community!

We’d love to have you join us in our weekly walks in Cameron Park, NSW 2285. We meet in the Harrigan’s car park at 10:00 for a quick welcome and attendance check. Register and join at walking.heartfoundation.org.au

The route is following the historical train path initially and then laps around the reservoir and occasionally through the neighbourhood. Walks are approximately 45 minutes.

Afterwards we head up to Harrigan’s verandah for a coffee and chat. The verandah is dog friendly if kept on a lead. The venue also has a massive children’s play area for young ones.

This walking group is perfect for parents with young children, retired individuals/couples, and people with flexible work hours who wish to connect on a Friday morning. Some of us end up staying for lunch when the bistro opens at 11:30.

If it’s raining we meet at Cameron Park Shopping Centre near the children’s pay area at 10am followed by coffee at Harrigan’s 11:00-ish.
