Raw do***ng meditation isn’t the kindest approach for most nervous systems. A balanced yoga practice will show you an easier way to find the peace and presence your heart is longing for.

It doesn’t have to be fancy just consistent, it takes time but its worth it.

If you are breathing you can meditate, its not hard, its the easiest thing.

Whats hard is letting go of all the things you think you know or need and relearning how to rest in what is. What is here, what is real, what is undeniable is what you are. Life, Whole, Wonderful.

Yoga is the art of paying attention.

What would happen
if you removed the thought ‘anxious’
and just paid attention
to these flickering sensations in the belly?

What would happen
if you took away the word ‘lonely’
and simply became fascinated
with this heavy feeling in the heart area?

What would happen
if you deleted the concept ‘sick’
or ‘broken’ or ‘wrong’
and just got curious about
the tightness in the throat
the pressure in the head
the ache in the shoulders?

What would happen
if you stopped looking for solutions
and checked to see
if there was actually a problem here?

Come out of the exhausting storyline, friend.
Come closer to yourself.
Commit sacred awareness to a single living moment.
Bring warmth to the tender place inside.

Infuse sensation
with the light of attention.
Maybe

Thankful for the simple joys of having a body that moves and breathes and wraps my life in flesh and bones.

Thankful for the wisdom of yoga, the simple ways mindfulness of body and breath can transform your mind ans your life.

Thanks full for all my teachers, the teachings, attentive practitioners, students and friends who share this soul passion.

Your practice doesn’t have to be complicated, it doesn’t have to be long, it doesn’t have to be right. If you show up regularly with kindness and curiosity your body will show you the way.

I’ve been obsessed with the Buddhist mindful breathing teachings since I found them just over a year ago.

Breathing is the foundation of life and provides a unique threshold for transformation. The simple yet profound structure of these teachings are informing my practise and my classes for the last year and half, and were not done yet.

Term 3 we are stepping into the powerful realm of the foundation of Mind. There is more and more science coming out about the power of thought and belief which the yogic and buddhist traditions discovered for themselves from the inside. Once you know the truth from the inner perspective it gives you a foundation that outer forces won’t shake.

Each term and class stands alone, however if you want to catch the bigger picture these slides recap what we’ve covered in classes so far. Stay tuned for more on the blog asap.

Each 90 minute class includes relaxation, mindfulness, and movement for flexibility, mobility, balance and strength. Anchoring awareness in mindful breathing yoga can be your space to deeply nourish body and mind.

It’s been a hot minute since I posted a movement snack here. I might be an unreliable poster but I show up for my practice, my classes and my heart. This is what floats my boat, this is where I draw my power.

It doesn’t have to be glamorous or complicated. It doesn’t matter if no one sees it. Find your way to keep your body strong and your heart afloat.
