WA Public Holiday... What's Your Excuse Today?

It's wet. It's cold. It's a public holiday.

So what are you doing with it?

✅ Getting out for a walk?
✅ Hitting the gym?
✅ Going for a run?
✅ Playing with the kids?
✅ Doing something active that moves you closer to your goals?

Or...

❌ Sitting on the couch all day?
❌ Scrolling your phone for hours?

Look at that face😂 struggling towards the end.

So… who else woke up the day after a half marathon and walked down the stairs like their knees had expired? 😂

Legs are absolutely cooked after the HBF Half Marathon yesterday… but does that mean we rest?
Nope.
Upper body day it is 💪🤣

When the legs stop working properly, just train everything attached above the waist. Simple.

Honestly though, this is where a lot of people quit after events:
❌ “I’ll take a few weeks off”
❌ “I’ll restart Monday”
❌ “I’ve earned doing nothing”

Recovery is important… but so is momentum.

Today might not be PB pace or heavy squats.

Today might just be:
✔ Light movement
✔ Blood flow
✔ Some upper body work
✔ Mobility

No rest for the wicked 😅

No training.
No workout.
Not even a walk.

WHY?

Not judging you, genuinely asking.

Is it because:
• You’re too tired after work?
• You don’t know what to do?
• You feel uncomfortable in gyms?
• You keep waiting for “Monday”?
• Life gets busy and you put yourself last?

Your health, energy, confidence and future body won’t change by accident.
At some point you have to stop thinking about it… and start doing something about it.

Even a 10-minute walk today is better than doing nothing again.

Stop guessing your way through the gym.

If you want real results, you need to take the time to plan what you are actually trying to achieve.

Fat loss, muscle growth, strength, fitness and performance all need a different approach.

Too many people walk into the gym and just do:
• their favourite exercises
• random machines
• whatever feels easy
• the same workout every week
• movements they are already good at

But progress usually comes from doing what you need, not just what you enjoy.

Sometimes the best exercise for your goal is the one you avoid because you are weaker at it.

That might be:
• squats
• lunges
• rows
• presses
• core work
• mobility
• conditioning

A good program should have structure, balance and progression.

You should know:
• what your goal is
• what exercises suit that goal
• how many sets and reps you need
• when to increase weight
• when to change the program
• how to track progress

Don’t just train hard.

Train with purpose.

That is where the results come from.
