We all have people who inspire us.
Sometimes it’s the people lifting huge weights or running incredible times. But the people who inspire me most are the ones who make excuses seem a little less valid, encourage us to chase new challenges, and remind us not to take life for granted.
My inspiration is Moirag 🩷
Last week she walked into the gym after being away for a few weeks. When I asked where she’d been, she sheepishly admitted she’d “snuck off” to run the Great Ocean Road Marathon 🙈.
Her words were:”I didn’t know if I’d be able to do it, and I had no reception during the run, so I had no music at all - just the sound of the footsteps around me.”

For those who don’t know Moirag’s story, she’s a wonderful mum, wife, friend, and an incredible Oncology Nurse.
In 2011, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After 12 years cancer-free, she received the news in 2024 that she had Stage 4 breast cancer. Since then, she has continued treatment while navigating all the challenges that come with it.
And yet, she quietly went and completed a marathon!!
I know you see yourself as just an ordinary person, Moirag, but you are anything but. Your courage, resilience and determination inspire me every day to complain less, try new things, and keep chasing goals.
We’re so proud of you 🩷
