Hello followers,

After years of dedicated service, Darren would like to pass the baton for this page to others. This requires creation of a new page and closing this one (hence the name change to - Old). So this page will shortly disappear.

On Tuesday at Clippers basketball Stadium, Buderim, Peter Campbell and some club members met Brent Mickleberg, MP for Buderim and Tim Manders, MP and Minister for Sport and Racing and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and played a quick demonstration game.

The visit was arranged by Chris Friend who is project manager for a proposed expansion of three basketball courts.

Potentially they could mark out several pickleball courts that the club could use.

Exciting news, from Saturday the 14th of March, the Sunshine Coast Pickleball Club is expanding its offering at Coolum State School.

4 existing indoor courts are being joined by 6 undercover outdoor hard courts!!!

These will appear under a separate section on Opensports, as Coolum outdoor.

There will be 6 new sessions a week across Saturday and Sunday, with everything from skills and drills, King of the court, snakes and ladders as well as singles and skinny singles.

Come and play on these spacious, individually separated courts.

We will be playing on these breezy courts, rain, hail or sunshine. The roof has an overhang so you will always be dry and in the shade.
Come and try it out from this weekend!!! We are also pleased to offer DUPR sessions on a Sunday afternoon, playing indoors, run by Geoff Bearne.

Fantastic SCPC Christmas 96 player Round Robin Event!

Big thank you to the organisers and helpers. Special mention for Peter N and Kelli, Peter C and Jill, the SCPC always indebted to your dedication and drive to make things better for members. Finally thank you to CIS for the sandwiches and everyone who brought a plate to this special event.

Thank you awards at the SCPC AGM to our fantastic long serving Coolum venue hosts Romy and Danny Papo and the retiring SCPC Secretary Michael Drummond who will be missed by everyone on the SCPC committee, awards presented by club president Peter Campbell.
