Our founder, Grandmaster William Cheung, opened his first Academy in Melbourne in 1978. Our current Academy is headed by Master Andrew Cheung, Grandmaster’s eldest son. Grandmaster William Cheung:

• 2013 headed the return of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu to its birthplace at the Shaolin Temple, Henan Province in China, attended by over 120 martial artists from around the world. A permanent stone monument was installed to commemorate this event at the Temple.

• Appeared on television shows including "A Current Affair", "The Mike Walsh Show" and "The Footy Show" displaying his martial arts skills. It was in Hong Kong in the 1950s that William Cheung was selected by Great Grandmaster Ip Man to be his private student and learn the art of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. At Cheung’s Martial Arts Academy we teach Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu, as taught directly to William Cheung by Ip Man.
