🏆 Wheatbelt Region Volunteer of the Year – John Foss🏆
Country Football WA congratulates John Foss from the Bruce Rock Football Club on being named the 2026 Wheatbelt Region Volunteer of the Year!
John’s remarkable involvement in country football spans more than 60 years, beginning as a 16-year-old player with Ardath Football Club in 1953. He later joined Bruce Rock and continued playing until his retirement in 1975.
His contribution only grew after his playing career. John served six years as Bruce Rock Football Club President, contributed as a coach and has continually supported the club’s operations, including its cropping program. Today, he remains a familiar and reliable presence as the club’s weekly timekeeper.
John also provided exceptional service to the Eastern Districts Football League WA He spent seven years as a Director, including two years as Vice President, before serving as League President from 2003 to 2005. He also held the important role of Umpires Director for five years.
His commitment extended to representative football and major league events, where he assisted at the Landmark Country Football Championships and Great Southern Country Championships.
A Life Member of both the Bruce Rock Football Club and Eastern Districts Football League, as well as a valued Club Patron, John has made an immeasurable contribution to country football.
