📊 We Got Game Academy – Impact Snapshot

In 2025, our AFLW Academy has delivered over 200 hours of training and development for women and girls across the Kimberley.

Our focus goes beyond football – we are measuring:
• Resilience 🌱
• Confidence 💪
• Connectedness 🤝

Through this work, we’ve also built case studies that highlight the role of community sport in:
• Preventing violence by creating safe, women-led spaces
• Reducing chronic disease risks through active lifestyles and wellbeing support

This is more than an Academy – it’s a movement for healthier, safer, and stronger communities led by women and powered through football.

🏉 Kimberley & Pilbara Women – We’re Heading to Darwin! 🧡

We’re calling on all AFLW players aged 35+ from across the Kimberley and Pilbara to join the North West Women’s Team for the 2025 AFL Masters National Carnival in Darwin, NT 27th September – 4th October.

This is your chance to represent the Northwest with pride, reconnect through footy, and be part of something powerful.

✅ Must be 35+
✅ Must have a love for the game
✅ Open to all towns and communities in the Kimberley and Pilbara
✅ We welcome players, volunteers & organisers!

We’re also looking for a new contact/coordinator – so if you’re keen to take the lead this year, let us know!

What a Week for Our Academy! 🚀

Last week was a fantastic week for our academy, full of excitement and achievements! 🌟

🏆 North West Masters Team - Our team delivered an incredible performance, finishing second overall! The dedication, skill, and teamwork on display were absolutely inspiring. Congratulations to everyone involved—what an achievement! We had 4 All-Australians selected!💪 we ended the week with the opportunity to coach the indigenous all stars team!

🌟 Country Championships - several of our talented girls represented Kimberley at the Country Championships. They played with heart, passion, and determination, showing everyone what Kimberley athletes are made of! Picking up a couple of Best on Ground performances for Reshinta and Jofrarn! ✨

💥 Big Win in the Northern Territory Football League - meanwhile, Kirra, who took the field for the Tiwi Bombers, had a huge win on Saturday! 👏
