Congratulations to our academy member Archie on winning the U15 Div 1 Grand Final with UQFC FQA YOUTH! 🏆

Archie has made massive progress over the past year, and seeing him reach this point after all the hard work he has put in is something we are really proud of. It’s not just about the result, but seeing how much he has grown as a goalkeeper and as a player. Well deserved, Archie! 👏

A massive shout out as well to Kingsley Phillips who received the call up to play in the U15 QA4 Grand Final, a division above his age. Unfortunately, the result wasn’t what we were hoping for, but Kingsley was recognised as one of the best players on the field. What an achievement 🔥

Well done, Archie and Kingsley. We are very proud of you both. Keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves and keep enjoying the journey! 💪🧤❤️

Saturday session with senior goalkeeper Jasper. 🧤

Jasper played an important role in North Brisbane’s promotion to FQPL1 women for 2027. We worked on goal kicks, footwork and positioning during the session.

Great to see Jasper working hard and improving day by day! 💪🧤

Thursday’s session focused on basic diving and crossing, combined with 1v1 situations. The key focus was understanding that the right technique must be used at the right time, depending on the position of the ball and the attacker’s control of it.

Land correctly, stay on your side and be ready for the next ball. Avoid rolling onto your back unnecessarily, a good recovery keeps you in a position to react quicker, attack the rebound and make that second save.

Be brave in 1v1 situations. Don't turn your head or body away from the ball, stay square, keep your eyes on it, and commit to the save. Turning away only reduces your chance of making the stop.

Never land with your elbow tucked under your ribs, it can lead to painful injuries. Keep your arm extended, and don't roll onto your back or chest
