Hawko is a guaranteed run machine as the greatest Wicket Keeping Bat in Ipswich, Australia history finally receives his Legend Cap.

Hawk has now scored nearly 15,000 runs over 374 matches at an incredible average of 96.31!!!!
Scoring a fifty every 2 matches over a 13 year career is a phenomenal figure. His 185 half centuries and 5 centuries are just ridiculous.

It’s a pleasure watching you play mate - you’re one of the best in the game, counting 197 dismissals with the gloves and even 25 wickets!

Our very own “Nitro” Nick Murphy absolutely dominating the Last Man Stands Masters World Cup in Barbados, showing why he has consistently been ranked Number 1 in the world and selected for both the Masters and Open Australian national teams. 13 wickets in the opening three games including a hatrick vs India and a double hatrick today vs Pakistan. Leave your front pad at home for the upcoming World Champs in December because chances are Nitro will blow it off anyway. All hail the king of swing 🕺🙌

We didn’t get the chocolates in the end but another successful nationals campaign nevertheless. A solid team effort this year using the full compliment of players as we were plagued by injuries (getting old). Proud to make our fifth grand final chasing the ever elusive third title. Congratulations to Western Swingers on their victory. Special thanks also goes to our sponsors Quick60 Race Cars and Components for supporting us this year. We will be back next year thanks to Last Man Stands and Matt Turbill for another fantastic competition.

WESTERN SWINGERS - AUSTRALIA CHAMPIONS 2023

Congratulations to Western Swingers from Sydney, who took out the 2023 Australia Champs title by overcoming The 2nd XI (Beaudesert) in the final!

Well played Swingers and we look forward to the team representing Australia as the World Championships next year!

Congratulations also to Sunday Sloggers and Gong Tuskers, who took out the Shield and Plate competitions respectively. The tournament album with all team photos and other best shots will be posted tomorrow.

Many thanks to all the Runaway Bay staff for hosting such a brilliant event, plus all the umpires, management, team organisers and players who all helped make this year's Australia Champs the best we've ever had!
