Proud to be Aspley!
Today saw our Division 2 team play the grand final against Pine Rivers at Bribie Island.
Following a slow start to the season, the team worked their way back to be second after the home and away season, winning the semi-final yesterday to arrive at the big dance today.
In a tightly contested game, Aspley won two out of the three rinks but unfortunately fell short on the aggregate score.

Aspley proudly showcased our club today while hosting the Moreton Bay District Pennant Semi-finals.
Sincere thanks go to the many volunteers from our club for their assistance. This included raffles, bar staff, boys on the barby, catering, set up, parking and grounds work. We also thank the three umpires who spent the entire day on the greens ensuring everything ran smoothly and also the Match Committee members who overviewed the day.
Our raffle for the one only big prize of a $500 Harvey Norman gift voucher was won by Aspley member Robin S. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets in the raffle!
For all those supporters who showed up to cheer on Aspley, it was greatly appreciated and your support encouraged our players to play their very best bowls. Your attendance helped the team to a great win and they will play the Grand Final at Bribie Island tomorrow.
Aspley members can be very proud of their club today. We may be small, we don’t have the big name players or lots of money but we do have heart and soul which makes us stand tall in the bowling world.

Its a big weekend for Aspley with Pennants semi-finals being played so we have for you a big raffle prize. Players, spectators and club members, try your luck for the prize to be drawn at 5 pm on Saturday 12 September. Play begins at 9.00 am with lots of good food, drinks and coffee available all day from 7.30 am.

Aspley Memorial Bowls Club is hosting the 2026 Pennants Semi Finals on the 12th September 2026 and we welcome all bowlers and spectators to our venue for a great afternoon of bowls. Food and drinks will be available. Moreton Bay District Bowls Association Inc.
