Jody Danson Coaching You are not broken💞 You're a mum who has been last on her own list for way too long. Mindset without your body is 1/2 the story. That's the difference. I cried.

I rewire the mind & body together. Course | Journal | Health support. You're one decision away. 👇 Hello and Welcome

I’m Jody. I’m a wife, mother of 3, certified Results Coach and Senior Teacher with nearly 15 years in education. My own experiences as mother, conversations with mum friends and observations as a teacher have led me here to connect with you. My story started 10 years ago when I beca

me for a mum for the second time. I was bitchy. I was overwhelmed with feelings of love but also of resentment and frankly just bloody over it. I felt like I was failing and wanted to run. I could feel grey clouds closing in and there were times I was worried that I was going to repeat generational experiences. I felt like I was failing. I did not feel in control. There are moments in life where we can look back on and realise that they are monumental moments that direct our trajectory. Motherhood is one of those things. It is a time where this one event completely shifts the way you see yourself physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. It completely shifts your identity. No one tells you about it. It doesn’t come with the instruction manual that we all wished popped out in the birthing suite either. What we thought we would feel and think is very different to what actually happened and our expectations of who we thought we would be after becoming mothers is very different to reality . What flicked the switch for me was that I took personal responsibility and action to find a way out of the rut. I didn’t compare myself anymore to what appeared to be the norm. I chose who I wanted to be, where I wanted to focus on for me and my family. I became more in control of my emotions and thoughts, empowering myself daily to be the best version of myself I could be. I have more strength and confidence to get through a day. I truly believe I am worthy, I am enough and I am capable. I am here to support you so that you can do this in your own life. I believe
*There is nothing wrong with you,
*You are not failing
*You are enough for you and your family
*Your wellbeing is the most important thing
*When you reclaim who you are and want to be, fortify your confidence and resilience you will find more joy. I know because I have done it. I have faith in you.

We talk a lot about what women lose when they become mothers. Sleep. Freedom. Time. Sometimes even a sense of who they are.

But there’s another side we don’t talk about enough.

Motherhood can uncover strength you didn’t know you had. It can make you question yourself, know yourself and stand up for things that suddenly matter more than ever.

You are still you. There’s simply more of you now.

Save this for a day when motherhood makes you question who you’ve become. 🩷

There’s a version of motherhood online that can make you feel like everyone else is doing it better.

Their homes look calmer. Their routines look easier. Their kids apparently eat vegetables without negotiating like tiny lawyers. 😂

But your children aren’t growing up comparing you to someone else’s highlight reel.

They’re growing up with your hugs, your silly moments, your apologies, your boundaries and the thousand ordinary ways you show them you love them.

You don’t need to perform motherhood perfectly to be a good mum.

Save this for the days you forget how much of you they already have. 🩷

Some of the most important moments in motherhood don’t look important while they’re happening. 🩷

Dinner on the stove. Kids somewhere in the house. A quick glance at your phone while you remember what needs doing next.

No big milestone. No perfect family moment. Just everyday life.

And one day, these will be the days you miss.

So don’t underestimate the ordinary, Mum. There’s a whole childhood happening right in the middle of it. 💗

Some days, I don’t go outside to exercise. I go because I need to get out of my own head. 🩷

No washing. No messages. No thinking about dinner or what everyone needs from me.

Just run. Breathe. Keep moving.

Sometimes taking care of yourself looks like giving your brain somewhere else to be for a little while.

The rest can wait.

What helps you switch your brain off?

Slow is not stuck. One step is still moving forward.

Save this for a day when you can’t see any progress at all. 🩷 And send it to a mum who’s walking through something quietly right now.

I just realised how easy it is to keep waiting for life to calm down before you let yourself enjoy it. 🩷

When work settles down.
When the kids need less.
When the house is sorted.
When there’s finally more time.

But motherhood doesn’t really come with an empty to-do list.

Maybe happiness doesn’t need to wait until everything is done.

Maybe there are little pieces of your life worth enjoying right now, right in the middle of the busy.

What are you enjoying today? 💗

POV: You managed to escape motherhood for 5 minutes, and somehow your whole body knew exactly what to do. 😮‍💨

Sometimes being a mum means being needed from the moment you wake up.

The questions. The noise. The mental load. The constant “Mum!”

And sometimes five quiet minutes alone feels like a full-body reset. 😂🩷

You don’t need to feel guilty for needing space. You’re human too.

Tag a stressed mum who needs her five-minute escape today. 🩷
