Just finished a podcast interview with Belinda Smith from Renovate & Real Estate.

I shared a post recently talking about “the middle” and she reached out to discuss it further on her podcast.

It’s my favourite topic.. the part that people don’t talk about. How hard it is to keep going when you’re not seeing results, you want to give up, when it all feels too hard..

After the interview we had a private chat about our own “middle” experiences.

No matter what you’re striving to achieve, there is no avoiding “the middle” - it IS part of the journey.

This is when you need to have like minded people around you, to call in to support you.

One of my favourite things about having sessions with long term clients is:

They share an update filled with them overcoming obstacles and dealing with challenges over the past two weeks.

And I remind them of how much better they are handling these situations compared with last year.

And they say: Wow, you’re right…

And for a moment they sit in quiet contemplation of how far they have come.

I had a call with a prospective client last week.

Shamelessly I can say that, I am the exact coach that person needs.

I have experienced their current challenges, & I’ve coached more people than I can recall who have been in a similar position as them.

I can see the exact areas we’d need to work on..

They wanted me to outline my process - I didn’t do that well.

Because I approach every client’s needs individually - based on where they are at & what they need support with.

If you want personal transformation & better results in business - it isn’t a linear one size fits all 7 step process.

How do you describe the intangible in a tangible way?

It’s not your Vision, Mission, Values Statement, or Why that gets you results.

They give you purpose, motivation, direction & outcomes to strive for.

What creates actual tangible results is the specific action you take consistently.

To take consistent action you need structure, systems, processes, discipline, & accountability.

Many people spend too much time focusing on their big picture & not enough time doing the things that will support them to achieve it.

Something I had struggled with for a long time is.. Personal Promotion.

It’s that Tall Poppy syndrome that us Aussies are well accustomed to.

And it holds a lot of people back - I know I am not the only one.

Unless we can rise above those fears and that glass ceiling, we can’t make the impact we’re capable of.

As I release the shackles of my old programming even more, and care less about what people think…

I recommend you spend a few minutes reflecting on Q1 - if you haven’t done so already. 🧐

How would you rate your overall outcomes for Q1?

Are you proud and satisfied with where you are at?

Yes - Excellent!
➡️ How will you celebrate your results?🥂

No - What needs to change during Q2? 🤔
➡️ What do you need to start doing?
➡️ What do you need to stop doing?
➡️ What do you need to believe?
➡️ What do you need to tell yourself?
➡️ What resources do you need?
➡️ Who do you need on your team?

Be brutally honest with yourself.
There is always something you can improve on. 💯

Now set clear tangible goals & outcomes for Q2?
Commit to taking the action you need to take to achieve them.

Personal power & self leadership are the core attributes that I support my clients to develop.

To be a high performer & achieve sustainable results, you need to become the person who can handle the responsibility, the challenges & the rewards that your journey to success brings.

Until you can handle that, you will always be looking for a way to have less problems.

The better you are at solving problems rather than avoiding them, the more success you will achieve.

You will be tested constantly to see if you really want what you say you do - and if you’re willing to do what it takes.

Taking responsibility and becoming a professional problem solver is part of the territory.

As we head into the last weekend of Q1 2025 it’s a great time to assess your results over the past 3 months. 🧐

And get clear on what you want to achieve in Q2. 🤓

Today I did a check in with a client who is achieving great things. They are focused, determined, and consistent with their actions which their results demonstrate. 🙌

The secret to success isn’t really a secret. It’s setting clear goals, taking consistent action, reviewing your progress, getting feedback, & seeking support when needed.. 🌟

There are still a few days left in March for you to smash out more actions if you’re not satisfied with your Q1 progress. 👊
