Day 2 of State Individual Championships was just as big as day one.

Another centre record broken. Darcy broke the u13 boys discus record with a massive throw of 30.16.

We watched on as Blake accepted his and Ethan's 10-year continuous participation awards, cheered as Cooper and Blake went through the U15 tunnel as part of their farewell to little athletics, we beamed with pride as Khloe and Darcy were both nominated for the U13 Sportsmanship awards with Darcy coming away victor in the boy's category.

East Derwent Little Athletics Centre then received the Southern Centre challenge award for their athlete's participation at the Coles Summer Series events held across the season.

At last count, our 20 athletes produced roughly 40 PBs, earned themselves over 15 medals and 4 centre records broken over the 2-day event.

Not only that, but we also received so much positive feedback about our club, our culture, our athletes and our volunteers.

We thank each and every one of you that made this season the huge success that it was. Without you all our athletes would not be able to shine the way they do. We can't wait to celebrate with you all at Presentation Day.

Day 1 of State Individual Championships saw lots of team spirit and plenty of smiles. It was hard to keep track of all of the wonderful performances from our athletes. Standout performances came from Thea and, the birthday boy, Ari.

Thea broke the U11 girls hurdles centre record in both her heat (15.52) and her final. The centre record being lowered to 14.98.

Ari was shocked to learn that he had broken the U9 boys Hurdles centre record to 11.06. And then backed that performance up with a centre record in the 400m with a time of 1.15:73.

It was a huge weekend for our awesome team (and their supporters). Well done Team ED. More pics and results to come.
