What a beautiful day on the course today. Fine and sunny and not too hot - talking about the ladies of course! Except there is no such thing as not too hot. You go girls! To those who were unable to make it today - we missed you and look forward to seeing you next week.
Very important (and insistent) news from Andrea P - The water dragons are back on the 17th. For those of you who don’t like dinosaurs, you have been warned.
Happy to celebrate with Maureen H who hit over the 13th today - phew, always a relief. Some days I would prefer to just throw a few balls straight into the water and go and have a couple of drinks in the clubhouse.
Daph B beat the A Grade longest drive but being B Grade that did not get her past Sandra S’s drive to win Longest Drive on the 18th.
Congratulations to Glen R for a lovely Royal Chip into the hole. And Nanna Glennys out of the bunker and into the hole (again). Such show offs.
My spies tell me that Jean Brew had a super putt on the 16th - style all the way - well done!
Wishing Lee H all the best for her recent brush with the knife - how dare her doctor ask her if that thing on her face had grown! Rude! Oh - not her nose!
Sadly there were no leftover women today so I played by myself - not that I am particularly into leftovers! It takes a rare talent like mine to play alone and still lose 3 balls.
Some of our ladies find filling out the scorecard a challenge. You know who you are! Better buy some erasable pens for next week.

A special thank you to Karron Donnelly and Judy Brennan who have generously stepped in as Vice President and President when Iris stepped down as president. You are both doing a fantastic job and we appreciate you. We (the committee) are all learning as we go along and are open to helpful suggestions (and bribes).
Ladies, if we miss something in the scoring or run down at the end of the game, would you mind waiting until after the presentations and then come and see us (the committee). We will be happy to fix any errors where necessary. Only patient, happy people welcome. We are trying our best.
That said, remember why we turn up every week - to have a go, maybe win a ball, have a nice chat and go home and wait for the next time we meet.
