π AAM7 BOSSLEY SPORTS vs LIVERPOOL RANGERS β GRAND FINAL 2026 π
BOSSLEY SPORTS ARE CHAMPIONS! ππ₯
What a season. What a final. What a way to finish it!
Bossley Sports and Liverpool Rangers were clearly the top two teams of the season, and both deserved their place in the Grand Final. What followed was 90+ minutes of heat, cramps, cards, goals, controversy, drama and one very nervous coach! π
β½ FIRST HALF β BOSSLEY STRIKE TWICE!
Rangers came out flying, controlling possession and moving us around for the first 5β10 minutes.
Our defence stayed disciplined, shifted as a unit and repelled everything they threw at us.
Around the 20th minute, we finally opened them up. A low, hard shot looked destined for the corner, but the Rangers keeper pulled off an awesome save.
Two minutes later, Rangers got around our defence and cut the ball across the 6-yard box⦠thankfully, nobody was there to tap it in.
Things were getting serious.
And so was the heat. π₯΅ Players were already trying to catch their breath and keep composed.
π₯ 27TH MINUTE β MITHIL MAGIC!
Mithil wins the ball, drives straight through the defence and gets into the box.
He shootsβ¦
GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL! π₯π₯π₯
Pure individual class.
Bossley 1β0 Rangers
We reset, refocused and started taking control of the field position and possession.
Then, once again, our defence wins the ball in midfield.
Mithil drives forward, dragging the Rangers defenders towards him before producing an absolute beauty β an outside-of-the-foot through ball straight into Dom's path.
Dom takes a touch.
Then another.
Into the boxβ¦
OUTSIDE OF THE LEFT FOOTβ¦
GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL! ππ₯
Bossley 2β0 Rangers
Absolute scenes!
π₯΅ HALF-TIME β HYDRATE OR DIE!
As I made the substitutions, the boys were telling me how cooked they were π and a few were already starting to cramp.
Time to hydrate. Stretch. Breathe.
At half-time, the message was simple:
Turn up for each other.
We knew we needed another goal. Rangers didn't finish second on the table for nothing! π
βοΈ SECOND HALF β THE ARM WRESTLE
The second half became a proper Grand Final arm wrestle.
Both teams battled it out through the middle of the park. Rangers shifted left and right looking for an opening, while Bossley looked to control possession and hit on the counter.
Around the 65th minute, we broke through the Rangers defence and cut the ball across goal.
Two Bossley players charging onto itβ¦
BUT NEITHER COULD GET A TOUCH! π±
Rangers survived by centimetres.
The heat was now absolutely brutal. Players were taking deep breaths, muscles were tightening and cramps were starting to become the enemy.
π¬ 70THβ75TH MINUTE β CRAMP CITY
We gave away a free kick and a yellow around the 70th minute.
Then, around the 75th minute, disaster!
Our CAM and CB both went down with cramp.
Both had to come off.
Cue the tactical reshuffle.
The referee was telling me to hurry up, but I was taking every second he gave me to get the formation right.
15 minutes to go. HOLD STRONG BOYS! πͺ
π¨ 78TH MINUTE
We break down the right.
A Rangers defender goes in with a two-foot challenge, catching our striker and bringing him down.
Free kick.
Yellow card.
The tension was rising.
π± 82ND MINUTE β RANGERS ARE BACK!
Eight minutes to go.
Rangers push players forward and win a throw-in.
There's a flick-on.
A missed clearance.
The ball falls to their strikerβ¦
6 yards out.
He makes absolutely no mistake.
Past the sliding defender.
Past the keeper.
Bossley 2β1 Rangers.
π³π³π³
Now we had a Grand Final on our hands.
β€οΈ "THROW US BACK ON COACH!"
Our CB and CAM, who had come off with cramp, turn around and basically say:
"THROW US BACK ON COACH β WE'RE NOT LOSING THIS!"
πβ€οΈ
Subs back on.
Formation sorted.
And⦠yes⦠it took a little longer because our CB couldn't find his shin pads.
Sorry, Ref! π
π₯ 85TH MINUTE β RED CARD DRAMA!
A reckless Rangers tackle.
Free kick.
Yellow card.
I hear my CDM yelling:
"COACH, THAT'S HIS SECOND! HE DID THE LAST ONE!"
The referee checks his bookβ¦
Reaches for the cardβ¦
RED CARD! π₯
Rangers down to 10.
Five minutes to go.
Surely we've got this⦠right?
RIGHT?!
π° 86TH MINUTE β HOLD ON!
We give away another free kick.
Our winger stands in front of the ball.
Rangers kick it straight into him.
Retake.
Yellow card.
Four minutes to go.
At this point, we're not playing football anymore.
We're playing SURVIVAL MODE. π
Players are cramping everywhere, but everyone is trying to run it off.
We start controlling possession and slowing the game down.
Every second counts.
β±οΈ 90TH MINUTEβ¦ OR DOES IT?
The clock hits 90.
My phone timer goes off.
TIME'S UP!
Exceptβ¦
β¦the referee doesn't agree. π
The boys are yelling:
"TIME'S UP!"
Play continues.
Our left back goes down with cramp.
He's told to get up because apparently we're "wasting time."
"WHAT EXTRA TIME?! TIME'S UP! WE'RE 2β1 UP!" π
Then comes another few minutes of added time.
And Rangers win a free kick near the corner flag.
Everyone goes forward.
Defenders.
Attackers.
And yesβ¦
THE RANGERS KEEPER! π³
The ball is crossed into the box.
Bossley defend it.
CLEAR!
And thenβ¦
π₯π₯π₯ THE WHISTLE BLOWS! π₯π₯π₯
BOSSLEY SPORTS ARE CHAMPIONS!
πππ AAM7 GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS 2026! πππ
What a way to finish the season.
The boys gave absolutely everything β through the heat, the cramps, the pressure, the cards, the tactical reshuffles and those final nerve-wracking minutes.
They never stopped fighting for each other.
π THANK YOU!
A massive thank you to our Committee, Spectators, Families and Friends for everything you've done and given us throughout the season.
Your support has been unbelievable. β€οΈ
Butβ¦
WE'RE NOT DONE YET! π
The celebrations will have to wait because our focus now turns straight to the KO Final this weekend.
One more game.
One more trophy.
One more chance to bring it home. ππ₯
LET'S GO BOSSLEY! πβ½οΈ
