Blayney Junior Rugby League celebrates 60 years

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Life Member, Lewis Howarth.

With his eldest son, Mark, being one of the first Bears to hit the paddock when BJRL began and later, his younger son Matthew joining the ranks, Lew was determined to see junior rugby league thrive in our town. Over the years, Lew was a coach, committee member and a passionate, forever-supporter of Blayney and junior league. He helped shape the heart and soul of our club and lay the foundations for those to follow.

Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.

♥️ 🤍 THANK YOU FOR CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF BLAYNEY JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE! ♥️ 🤍

What a fantastic night! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday night to celebrate 60 incredible years of Blayney Junior Rugby League . It was so special to see past and present players, families, supporters, volunteers and friends of the club come together to celebrate our history. 🏉

A very special thank you to our amazing caterers, Blayney Hi Grade Meats, The Spread (Orange) and Hutchison’s Bakehouse for helping make sure everyone was well fed and looked after throughout the night.

We also want to say a massive thank you to the many generous local businesses who donated prizes towards our 17 incredible prize bundles. Your generosity and ongoing support of our club means so much to us and helped make the night extra special. ❤️

A huge shout-out to Courtney from Court the Moment for the Photo Booth! 📸 The laughs, memories and photos created throughout the night were absolutely priceless.

Thank you to the Blayney Junior Rugby League Committee and our 60th Anniversary Sub-Committee for your tireless work, countless hours and dedication in bringing the night together. It truly was a fantastic celebration of everything this club represents.

And thank you to our wonderful MC, Richard Hobby, for keeping the night moving and entertaining us all.

We were also incredibly proud to recognise three very special members of our club community, with Lisa Öborn and Kylie Bright being inducted as Life Members of Blayney Junior Rugby League. 💙💛

As a special recognition of their contribution, they were each presented with a beautiful clock generously provided by Etched & Eva. What a wonderful way to acknowledge their dedication and service to the club.
