Here are some terrific pics from the Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta held at South Gippsland Yacht Club at Inverloch on 14 & 15 Feb. Member Rob Hartnett sailed "Some Girl", a beautifully restored 46-year-old Sabre, to 4th overall and 1st in Div B with 50 boats competing. Gwen 12, Sailfish, Fireballs, Finn, Mirrors, Moths and more made up the fleet.

Youth Sportsboat Regatta, 18 - 19 April 2026
Are you 15 - 30 years old, want to have fun and compete in a fast-paced race with other youth teams? Then we have just the event for you! BYS is hosting another Youth Sportsboat Regatta this year, and based on previous experience, we highly recommend it!! The event promotes teamwork, skill development, and tactical racing in one-design keelboats. Whether you’re racing or spectating, it’s a
unmissable weekend of youth sailing action.
With options to BYO boat or get on one of the supplied boats, be quick to enter! This regatta is generously supported by BYS Past Commodore Kurt Jaks through his financial contribution, and by the Club’s J/70 boat owners, who kindly make their boats available for the series.
