The Blackall Campdraft Association would like to send their deepest condolences to the Kings family for the passing of one of our extremely valuable committee members and past presidents, Rodney.

Rodney has been the heart of the Blackall Campdraft Association since it first started over 20 years ago. Since then he has spent numerous hours of his own time to help create a beautiful facility and association that we are all lucky enough to have today.

During the lead up to our annual campdrafts you would often find Rodney plotting around getting the facilities up to scratch and then he would spend countless hours organising and running the bar for the entire weekend. The campdraft bar is where we would always see him smiling, chatting and watching everyone enjoy their weekend.

Rodney was such a kind hearted human who worked extremely hard at all the things he loved. He always greeted you with a big cheeky grin and loved to have a chat. He always asked how you were travelling and seeing what you had been up to.

At our general meeting at the start of the year, our committee had recognised Rodney and Lisa’s stedfast commitment to our campdrafting community and had them both recognised for Life Memberships which was agreed unanimously. We would like to thank Rodney for all of his hard work and dedication throughout the years towards not only the Blackall Campdraft Association, but the entire Blackall community and send our sincere condolences to Lisa and all of their family.

Rodney, may you rest in peace 💙
