Dear Bowling Club Community
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of one of our cherished members.

Neil Moore passed on Wednesday 26th August.

Neil was a vital part of our club for a number of years with his enthusiasm on the green and his cheeky grin on and off it.
His presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

For those who wish to pay their respects, a memorial service will be held at the Pacific Hotel, Lorne on Friday 4th September, 2026 at 2pm.

The 2026/2027 bowling season is coming around fast and We are always welcoming new members.
Our club is a wonderful friendly welcoming place.
Anyone wanting to learn about bowls, we have wonderful members willing to help those beginning.
Bowls supplied, no commitment.
Open training will commence soon on Thursday afternoons. Until then check out winter social bowls or pop over for a look.

Notice to members:

While the cost of everything else seems to be increasing, The Board has kept our Membership Fees for 26/27 the same as the previous year🥳

Full Membership: $120
Social Membership: $60
Full Junior Membership: $30
Social Junior Membership $10
As our financial year runs 1 April to 31 March, fees are now due.
As in prior years, fees can be paid via direct debit to our bank account, or over the bar via EFTPOS.

Had a bowl in Glasgow, rinks so slow. Apparently early new season and thick grassy surface. Still had a hoot.

What a comeback, 7 down with two ends to go. Championship on the line. Phil and Gloria feeling very confident but here comes Janelle and Al. Can they do the impossible….. 13th end a 3 for Janelle and Al, last end now they need a 4 to force another end. 15th end… another 3 for the chasing team but no cigar.. needed a 4. Congratulations to both teams, Pairs Champions Phil and Gloria. Great end to a fantastic season for Birregurra Bowls Club.
Winter recess until September gives us a chance to sharpen our skills for next season.

What a game, drawn with one end to go. Last bowl Jo and Pahulu down one shot, Jo bowled, clipped the jack and pushed the jack away from shot bowl but …. Not far enough. 😩 Congratulations Phil and Gloria who meet Janelle and Al in the grannie of the mixed pairs. Be there this Wednesday 2pm.
The last event before winter bowls begins next month.
