Ever wondered what it’s like to be part of the Queensland Junior Cup? Here’s your chance! 👀🔥

QJC are seeking Expressions of Interest for WILDCARD RIDERS to join us for an upcoming QJC round aboard one of our race-prepared Yamaha R15 V4s. 🏍️💨

This is a fantastic opportunity for junior riders looking to experience QJC, develop their road racing skills and spend a full race weekend working alongside our QJC coaching and technical team.

🏆 Wildcard package includes:
• Use of a QJC Yamaha R15 V4 race bike
• Race entry
• Tyres
• Fuel & lubricants
• Technical support
• Rider coaching & development
• Full participation in the QJC race weekend

💰 Wildcard Entry: $1,800 per round

Riders must meet the relevant age, licensing and road race endorsement requirements, and all wildcard applications are subject to approval.

🏁 Some things are just better when you get to share them with Dad. ❤️

Young Harry Yanko has been kicking HUGE goals in the QLD Junior Cup this year — and right there beside him is someone who knows a thing or two about going fast… his dad, Ryan Yanko. 🔥

Dad. Coach. Mentor. And one seriously talented racer himself.

Ryan has plenty of racing experience and wisdom to pass down, but there’s something pretty special about watching him now share it with Harry.

The advice between sessions. The little words before heading onto the grid. Talking through what went right, what could be better, and probably the occasional “Dad, I know!” 😂

You can teach racing lines, braking points and race craft,but having your Dad in your corner, believing in you every step of the way? That's pretty hard to beat.

We absolutely love seeing families sharing this sport together and creating memories that go far beyond trophies and lap times.

And with Father’s Day just around the corner, here's to Ryan and all the brilliant racing dads doing what they do. 👊🏁

🏁 WHAT A WEEK! 🏁

Last week Dad and I flew down to Winton Raceway for the 2026/27 OJC Junior Cup Event Selection, and I still can’t believe what happened! 🤩
OJC selects just 19 juniors from across the whole of Australia to be part of the Yamaha Junior Blue Crew Race Academy — and I am absolutely STOKED to say that I was one of them! 💙🏍️

I’m honestly still pinching myself and can’t stop smiling! 😁 This is such an incredible opportunity and one that I’m so grateful to have been given.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, helped me along the way.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

🏁 RACE REPORT — SDRRC Round 3 🏁

The first weekend of August saw us head down to Queensland Raceway for Round 3 of the SDRRC.

We headed out for coaching on Friday to get familiar with the track and conditions, which were absolutely perfect. I was feeling good on the bike and my times were getting faster throughout the day. I finished Friday feeling confident and ready to race! 👊🏽

Q1: I absolutely smashed it! 🤩🤩 I pulled out a PB and a lap record with a 1:36.5!

Q2: I couldn’t improve on my time, finishing with a 1:36.553. Another rider managed to pull out a 1:35.4, putting me into P2, which I was still really happy with.

Queensland Raceway is known as the “Paperclip”, and for good reason — there are plenty of long straights where drafting plays a massive part. With these bikes, it’s nothing to go from 1st to 8th in a single straight! 😂

I lost count of how many times I went from 1st to 6th and back again! 😀

Race 1: 6th
Race 2: 3rd 🥉
Race 3: 4th
Race 4: Unfortunately, I got taken out coming around the outside heading into Turn 3. 😬 Check out the little video below! 🎥

A massive thank you to Dad and the mechanics who somehow managed to get my bike race-ready again in a matter of minutes after I was taken out! 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 Absolute legends!

I finished 4th overall for the weekend. Not quite the result I was hoping for, but I learnt heaps about drafting, race positioning and how important timing is when you’re battling in a pack.

Now it’s time to put the bike aside for a minute and concentrate on FOOTY! 🏉

Me and the boys from U13 Calliope Rugby League are heading to the Grand Final this weekend! 👊🏽🔥

We’ve worked hard all year to get here, and now it’s time to finish the job! 💪🏽🏆
