Unfortunately, it wasn’t the outcome or game we were expecting on Saturday night.

Credit to Frenchville, who showed their talent throughout the match and came away with the win.

While the result wasn’t what we were chasing, there are plenty of lessons for us to take away, and we’ve identified areas we need to work on and improve over the coming weeks.

Discipline will be key focuses as we continue to build and prepare for the challenges ahead.

🏉 It’s Game Day! 🏉

This evening we head to Rockhampton to take on Frenchville Pioneers A Grade at Ryan Park.

The boys will need to be switched on from the opening whistle, with Frenchville currently sitting on top of the ladder and proving to be a strong side.

It’s shaping up to be a tough contest, but the team is looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to test ourselves.

Best of luck to the boys, safe travels and give it your all!

What started as a tough first half with only 13 players on the field (including two players from Blackwater, thank you once again for helping us out) turned into a great team effort.

With a few of our boys still at work and arriving late to the game, plus two “old timers” dusting off the boots and lacing up once again, the 13 boys out there did an outstanding job to hold the score at 14–0 until reinforcements arrived just before half time.

It took us a little while to find our feet and get our heads back in the game, but once we started gelling together and building momentum, the boys dug deep and pulled off a great win.

If you’re looking for something to do tomorrow arvo, why not take a drive over to Moura and come along for a great afternoon of rugby! 🏉

Our boys are heading across to take on the Dawson Valley Drovers Reserve Grade.

The Drovers are also running a junior clinic from 1:00pm, so if you’re looking to get the kiddies out of the house and let them burn off some energy, what better way than getting involved and enjoying a day at the footy! 👏

It’s that time again, our annual BRUC Charity Day🏉💵

This year we’re doing things a little differently, as we celebrate 10 years since the Biloela Rugby Union Club achieved back-to-back premierships, with a special Old Boys Day to honour those memories and the people who have helped build our club throughout the years into what it is today.

We’ll also be hosting our generous 2026 sponsors, because without their ongoing support we simply wouldn’t have the club we have today! 👏🏽

This year, BRUC has proudly teamed up with the Joel Weeks Legacy Fund Inc., an organisation that continues to make a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of our small community.

Their efforts have already achieved incredible things! In 2024, $65,829 was raised to support the Local Ambulance Committee in purchasing AED machines across the shire, and in 2025, $77,108.59 was raised towards building a helipad in Biloela to meet new CASA requirements. Our club is proud to continue supporting the ongoing helipad project, which will provide faster and more efficient emergency transfers for the Banana Shire community, something many of us have either experienced personally or heard stories about.

This year, the Joel Weeks Legacy Fund Inc. will be raising funds to help refurbish the Palliative Care Unit at the Biloela Hospital, and we are more than honoured to support such an important cause. 🏥

So if you’re a past BRUC player, member, sponsor, or supporter, come on down and show the love and community spirit BRUC is known for! 🍻🍔

Let’s rally together, Biloela, and continue raising funds to improve the health and wellbeing of our entire shire! 💛🖤🤍

A tight first half against the Mt Morgan Rugby Union Club with Mt Morgan coming out strong 💥

The boys struggled at times to hold possession of the ball, but still managed to head into halftime in front 👏

The message for the second half was clear — find another gear and tighten up possession to finish strong 💪🏉
