We’re excited to welcome Belinda (better known as Bee) to the team at SWIMZ Bendigo 💙

Bee has been a swimming teacher for 8 years, with a real passion for working with little ones in the water. What started as a dream while taking her own four kids to lessons has turned into something she now gets to do every day.

She brings a wealth of experience, a calm approach and a natural connection with kids - making her a great addition to the team!

When she’s not at the pool, you’ll find Bee spending time with her family… or sneaking in a coffee when she can ☕

We are OPEN 🥳🥳 It's been an amazing week having you back through the doors and students in the pool! Right in time for the cooler months, our magnesium indoor pool is heated all year round. We're still adding some final touches and we thank you for your patience during the construction. Kids who swim before age 5 can show up to 15 months ahead in literacy and numeracy skills. Swimming activates both sides of the brain at the same time. Movements like kicking, balancing, and breathing in rhythm improve coordination and strengthen neural connections linked to learning. Water also adds resistance, making the brain and body work harder together.

Studies show early movement-based activities improve memory, focus, and problem-solving. Repeating swim patterns helps build timing, sequencing, and body awareness, all important for reading and math. Even 20–30 minutes a few times a week can make a difference over time.

Start simple and keep it fun. Splash, float, and play regularly. Early movement is not just exercise, it is brain building in action.

Your baby’s first experience in the pool should feel calm, safe and completely supported – for both of you.

We’re offering complimentary infant lessons for babies aged 4–6 months at our brand new indoor pool facility.

These small group sessions are designed to help you feel confident in the water with baby while giving a positive introduction.

In the water together, you’ll learn:
