The tournament will be held at Ciutat Esportiva Blanes, a spectacular facility with six international courts. We are accepting expressions of interest for all categories (eight places available per category, with many IFA members already confirmed).

UPCOMING FUTSAL SEASON.
NNSW Futsal is looking to have its calendar of events for the upcoming 2021/2022 season finalised by the middle of July. There are a number of fresh faces and positions within the NNSW Futsal committee with new centres and new pathways to be introduced.

We will be contacting current members and school members of NNSW Futsal to tell them about our upcoming club competition seasons. There are 10 clubs in total this season consisting of 7 from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley; and 3 from the Central Coast region.

The clubs involved in our club competitions will have the opportunity to produce representative teams that will represent their club in a new NNSW State competition, the NNSW Futsal Premier League (FPL). Consisting of Ages 12 to 16 for both Boys and Girls this new competition will be one of the new pathways that NNSW Futsal is introducing this year. Selections for these teams will occur in the first weeks of September which coincides with our club centres beginning their grassroots competitions.

NNSW Futsal will also be introducing a Futsal Development League (FDL) for ages 8 to 11, both boys and girls, that will be played at one centre on a Sunday or on a weeknight, depending on numbers. Players eligible for selection in the FDL will come from any of our 10 member clubs or Football clubs that have interested players looking to expand their skills. NNSW Futsal looks forward to developing our stars of the future and welcomes any Football clubs/players to be involved in this competition.

Finally, NNSW Futsal will continue to run its Senior Elite Men’s and Women’s competitions starting in the middle of September at our Wallsend Centre (Youth are included). Central Coast will have its own programs to identify senior representatives.

From all of the above events, NNSW Futsal will choose their NNSW and Central Coast State teams to participate at Nationals. The selections will be done over the first three rounds of the FDL, FPL and elite programs with the Men, Youth and Women NNSW teams playing in an NSW State Competition in November of this year. The NSW State Competition will involve teams from Canberra, Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle. We are also hoping to organise an NNSW State Competition that will involve teams from Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Manning and Newcastle.

Please keep an eye on our page in the coming months as we begin to head into the Futsal season. Spread the word and share the exciting news amongst your friends/family and please keep an eye on our website www.nnswfutsal.com.au
