Have decided to press on in the outdoors. Hopefully the weather plays the game.

Here is a link to book in for a free session starting next Monday. If this is reasonably successful, I will sort a hall it to be able to do it indoors eventually.

This session is not as intense as the picture depicts. We are going to be pretty casual and not full contact. It's a fun way to exercise in an space where you can bring kids along if you want to.

Free trial to kickboxing session. We will run it outdoors initially as I guage numbers and interest levels. The hall I am thinking about hiring is right next to belgrave South oval so let's start it off in the oval. This also means that the kids that come along can have a run around whilst we do...

To keep you all updated, I am waiting for the council to secure the booking slot. At this stage, I will start with Monday mornings 0930 until 1030.

More details to come later as I try to get the council on board. Thanks for the patience.

Hello all. It looks like the preference is Monday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. I will chat to the council this week to see if the hall has availability for those days.

Would 0930 suit for morning classes?

And what time would people want for an evening class?

Thanks to all who have voted. The poll closes tomorrow so it would be good if we could get as many people with their preferences in as possible.

It will help me to decide how feasible this venture is.

I love Muay Thai and whilst I am not the same person I was in the picture, I still have all those mad skills somewhere inside me.

If you know anyone else who may be interested in coming along, share the page with them and get them to vote too.

I bought a pile of gloves and pads this morning so getting closer to being ready.

Edited to add: we will not be fighting in class. We will be doing drills, techniques and hitting, kneeing and kicking pads only. This class is more for funb and fitness. There are plenty of clubs off the mountain if you get a taste for it and want more though.

Hello anyone that has found their way here. Just putting feelers out initially to garner any interest in coming along to a regular, casual Muay Thai kickboxing class.

My target is Mums. I want the space to be child friendly. I want the classes to be flexi so you can stop and start as needed based on the kids needs.

I think at this stage I would run the classes in Belgrave South in the prospect hall on Colby drive. Dates and times yet to be organised so open to discussions.

About me:
Currently a middle aged Mum to a 4 and 5yo.
Also current Paediatric emergency nurse.
Historically number 1 in NZ for women's welterweight.
