Phoenix Beeliar Junior Cricket Club The best junior cricket club in the Phoenix Beeliar region!

Phoenix Beeliar Junior Cricket Club is a fully incorporated sporting organisation, through it's link with the Phoenix Cricket Club. The club was formed to meet the demand from the growing population within the Cockburn area, and will initially be catering for 5-9yr old boys & 5-12yr old girls via In2cricket & T20 Blast programmes. Our philosophy is to make cricket available to as many kids as possible, to make it fun for the players, and stress free for the parents.

While this may be our "off season", after a bit of downtime, this is where we apply for grants, seek sponsorship, order equipment and merchandise, and organise the teams in preparation for the season launch.

If you want to contribute to the club, and volunteer with this awesome bunch of people, get in touch! We're always looking for new people, and new ways to keep the club going. If you have a specific skill to contribute, or you just want to lend a hand in whatever area is needed, we'd love to hear from you.

PBJCC Changing of the Guard 🤝

Life Members Danny (left) and Paul (right) have also stepped down from the committee for next season.

As founding members of the club, it's hard to succinctly describe what Danny and Paul have done. They've been with us from the start, and have watched our first little tackers grow into the fine young men playing on our U17s team, and who also play with Phoenix Cricket Club 🥹

While they've stepped down from the committee, they're also not going far. Danny will still coach the U17s, and Paul will be compiling the club's history for us.

📣 AGM ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

After 2 years as President, Hayley has stepped down, and handed over to Cassie.

Hayley has done an incredible job over the last 2 years, growing our club, almost doubling in size. Hayley has been our fearless leader, and taken a chance on so many of our ideas. From allowing Koby to create and grow the "Derby Day", to allowing Cassie to create the Girls Social Smash, and for leading our club through the change to the MJCC, and achieving gold medal accreditation as a Good Sports Club. And all of those things behind-the-scenes that we don't often see. They really make a difference.

While Hayley is stepping down as President, she won't be going far. She will still be a general committee member, and might be able to spend a bit more time with her family 😊

What a wonderful way to end our 2025-26 season!!!

First up, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to new Life Members Jezza and Lisa. A very well deserved acknowledgement for your incredible commitments to our club over many years.

Our Harry Summerfield Player of the Year Lucas, who had a fantastic season, and just about clean swept his team awards 👏

Our Danny Leeming Volunteer of the Year Tracey, our ever reliable Registrar. Tracey is always on hand to help out, and almost didn't accept the award because she was just about to get the gloves on to help out in the kitchen! Thank you Tracey, you are an absolute gem, and we love having you on our committee ❤️

CONGRATULATIONS CASSIE! 👏 If you've dealt with my office, then you've probably met Cassie. She's an absolute force here, but also in the community as the new President of Phoenix Beeliar Junior Cricket Club.

This week, Cricket WA announced Cassie as the Metropolitan Female Volunteer of the Year. This is partly in recognition of a program that she created to get more girls into cricket.

It's exactly what the Cook Government's Game On, Girls program is about. We want more practical, community-led efforts to get more girls and young women into sports.

Congratulations, Cassie! Thanks for the leading the way!

This Finalist is now the WINNER 🙌🏻 A massive congratulations to our very own Cassie Harrison, who was named Metropolitan Volunteer of the Year - Female. Cassie is a well deserving winner, as she has been an amazing role model at our club, coordinating the Girls Social Smash program, whilst also being our child safety officer and sponsorship/grants coordinator. Cassie’s passion for girls cricket and her professionalism in her committee roles makes her an asset for our club. Make sure to congratulate her at our season wind up this weekend! ❤ Thank you Cockburn Rotary Club ❤

Another grant we were lucky enough to secure this season was from the Cockburn Rotary Club, to pay for one of our gazebos! These gazebos are proving to be very popular in the rain and the sunshine! Every team has one now, but as we keep growing, we'll need more! So grants like this are super helpful.
