Round 5 of the Mackay club championship.

Friday
We travelled down to Mackay early Friday morning to get a full day of practice at a track that we have not done too many laps at. After a full day of practice with the team at Townsville Kart Centre we felt we were pretty well dialled in.

Saturday/ race day
Getting to the track early we got ourself into race mode with a single 8 minute practice.

Heat 1, started 5th and drove through to 2nd.

Heat 2, started 7th and finished 3rd

Heat 3, started 2nd and finished 2nd

Final , started 2nd and finished 3rd to earn my first podium of the year.

We have been working so hard all year to achieve a result like this and we are so happy to have pulled it off.

Massive thanks to my Dad and my Uncle Rio for swinging the spinners today. I really appreciate your help.

Great Barrier Reef Titles recap

Wow, what a fantastic weekend of racing.
Finally found some pace when we bolted some new rubber on and managed to qualify 5th in a strong field of Juniors.
Heat 1 started 5th finished 5th.
Heat 2 5th to 6th
Heat 3 5th to 4th
Heat 4 5th to 6th
Final started 6th. Ari drove the wheels of it to finish 4th with some fantastic racing.
Overall very happy with the day
Thanks to Brian Flynn and the team at Townsville Kart Centre for the advice and technical help all weekend. Thanks to MG Engines for the rocket of an engine. It was great having Kev “the noise “ Davies commentary creating such a fantastic atmosphere all day.
