Recently I had the privilege of speaking at an International Women’s Day event at Arrabri Community House, a place that has been part of my journey for many years.
Sharing my story was a very overwhelming and emotional moment because getting to this point in my life, having my own business and talking about my journey on such a powerful occasion, felt just so surreal because it hasn’t been a straight and easy path.
For many years I didn’t believe I was worthy of stepping into the fitness industry because I didn’t fit the mould of what a trainer should be or look like.
It took years of rebuilding confidence, working through self-doubt, and finally backing myself to take the steps needed to put what truly aligns with me at the forefront.
Today my business is about helping women feel strong, confident and capable in a space where they can move, build strength, reconnect with themselves and grow in confidence again, no matter their starting point.
Because the truth is, strength doesn’t have a body type and movement isn’t about perfection. It’s about confidence, mental health and believing in your worth.
So my message is simple:
"You are worthy exactly as you are now."
Not when you lose weight, not when the kids are older, or when you have more time.... Now!
Seeing women in the room connect with that message (and even a few tears) reiterated why I do what I do. Hearing the stories afterwards meant so much to me and reminded me how powerful community can be.
I feel so blessed and honoured to have such wonderful and supportive people in my community. Im excited for my future and being empowered to stay aligned with what keeps me happy and lifts me up.
Lots of love
