Hey everyone it’s been a while.
Thought this is some news worth sharing though, last week our boys played against Rosewood in the semifinals, we were contending for this weeks grand final and we made it through!
Floyd got 71 runs, setting us up for a win and Ryley C got 4/5 with a hat trick to secure us the victory.
This weekend the grand final will be held in Rosewood against Corryong, we as a team are over the moon to have this opportunity to be in the grand final after so many years of having it torn away from us. The last time our Batlow team was in a grand final was 2009 so this is very big deal for a lot of us, so this is where the next question comes into play.
Are you doing anything this Saturday? If not, our boys would greatly appreciate your support at the Rosewood cricket grounds from 1pm till 5-6ish. It’s not a short drive but it’s also not Sydney either, we know that times are rough at the moment with fuel but if you can make it, it would mean the world to us for you to show your support to not only our town’s team but also our major local sponsor the Batlow RSL Club and to the Rosewood team and their club house for hosting the game.
If you are thinking about coming up to witness what could be history for our team, send Savannah a message with how may people you are coming with as we need to give the club house numbers for catering for those who want arvo tea (you don’t have to if you don’t wish, you’re more than welcome to bring your own lunch)
