First light at 13th Beach. This is what members wake up for. This is what the drive from Melbourne is worth. Some rounds stay with you. The ones that start like this tend to stay the longest.

Wake up. Walk out. Tee off. The Stay & Play lodge at 13th Beach puts you about as close to the first tee as you can get without actually sleeping on it. This is what a proper golf trip looks like.

Five years as a member at 13th Beach and John Anson still gets that feeling on the Beach Course. Strategic, demanding, and genuinely rewarding when it all comes together. His words, not ours. Although we could not agree more.

The 1st on the Creek Course does not ease you in.
Bunkers left. Bunkers right. A green that rewards precision and punishes anything short of full commitment. It is the kind of opening hole that tells you exactly what kind of round you are about to play, and asks you to rise to it before you have even found your rhythm.

This is Creek Course golf from the very first swing. No margin for hesitation, no room for a tentative approach. Just a green that demands your full attention and a shot worth playing well.

Every course has that one hole. The one you think about on the drive down, the one you replay in your head on the way home. For a lot of golfers who've played the Beach Course, it's the par 3 7th.

Elevated tee, natural dune topography, the surf club sitting just beyond the landscape. It's rugged in the best possible way.
A well struck shot bowls straight into the green and when the pin is back left in the bowl, you have to commit fully. No half measures. It's the kind of hole that rewards the golfer who backs themselves, and that's exactly why it's one of our favourites on the Beach Course.

Two courses. Both in the top 100 in Australia. Probably top 30. Immaculate conditions every day, a terrific clubhouse, and enough tee box variety to keep the challenge fresh no matter how many times you've played it.

That's life at 13th Beach from the people who know it best. There are golf clubs, and then there are places like this.

138 metres doesn't sound like much until you're standing on the tee. Hole 12 on the Beach Course is one of those par 3s that exposes exactly where your game is at.

The landing area is narrow, the pot bunker sits just short of the green demanding a precise 131 metre carry, and the green itself slopes in ways that make a bogey feel like a very real possibility. Distance is never the point here. Shape, flight, and nerve are.

Get it right and you walk off feeling like you earned it. Catch the bunker and the scorecard tells a different story.
