Huge congratulations to everyone at this morningβs session.
After a solid warm up, the group tackled:
β’ 8 x 80 m stride outs/accelerations β smoothly building the pace with each effort
β’ 2 x 60 second efforts at around 80% with 1 minute easy recovery
β’ 10 x 30 second hard efforts with 30 second recovery
The effort, focus and consistency from every runner was outstanding. Itβs exciting to see the progress being made as athletes continue building toward their longer distance goals. Thereβs a real buzz around the group, especially for those preparing for their first half marathon and even their very first race experience.
As the training load increases, itβs normal to feel a little more fatigue. This is where maintaining focus and consistency becomes so important. Trust the process β you are all on track.
Over these final weeks of preparation:
β’ Prioritise recovery
β’ Rest well
β’ Stay hydrated
β’ Maintain balanced nutrition
Recovery can take a little longer during heavier training periods, so look after the small things that make a big difference.
